PS3 fans think PS3 will have more million sellers than any console. Xbox 360 fans disagree and think Xbox 360 will have more million sellers than any console.

Maybe because their explanations are already in the OP and/or Gilgamesh is more interested in hearing why people disagree.

Games on demand is not included in that number plus their are a lot of 360 games that are under tracked so in reality the 360 has at least a dozen more million seller. Also it has a 88.41 million lead in total software lead over the PS3 which doesn't include games on demand. Last but not least the 360 lost a lot of more million sellers to piracy the 3DS is probably the only console that lost more million sellers to piracy this generation. Even if the PS3 has more million sellers then the 360 by the end of this generation it doesn't tell the whole story. Also I highly doubt that the PS3 can pass the 360 in total software sales this generation so the overall winner when it comes to software is still the 360 and would be a even bigger winner if games on demand would be included and the system itself would not be that easy to pirate games on.

It does not need 'big' exclusives. Only more 1m sellers, although I still don't think there are that many lined up.

I think it's pretty likely. The PS3 typically produces more exclusives per year which see 1m a fair bit. Also, I think the PS3 has a slight advantage in multiplats that sell in the 1m range. The X360 may have higher sales for the bigger titles (2m+) but those won't change much since both versions are over 1m. I think the PS3 has an advantage for those niche games that sell in the 750k - 1.25m range. It is here where it can get multiplats to get just over 1m while the X360 version is just under.

A much more reasonable prediction than your other one about the Vita outselling the 3DS.

Thats what happens when you have the most high rated exclusives. It adds to all the other games everyone gets.
