Games on demand is not included in that number plus their are a lot of 360 games that are under tracked so in reality the 360 has at least a dozen more million seller. Also it has a 88.41 million lead in total software lead over the PS3 which doesn't include games on demand. Last but not least the 360 lost a lot of more million sellers to piracy the 3DS is probably the only console that lost more million sellers to piracy this generation. Even if the PS3 has more million sellers then the 360 by the end of this generation it doesn't tell the whole story. Also I highly doubt that the PS3 can pass the 360 in total software sales this generation so the overall winner when it comes to software is still the 360 and would be a even bigger winner if games on demand would be included and the system itself would not be that easy to pirate games on.

...

Digital sales for PS3 games are also not included. This is about sales, so piracy is highly irrelevant.

piracy effects sales

A much more reasonable prediction than your other one about the Vita outselling the 3DS.

He said that?

Not sure why 1 million sellers is the focus.

Software in general for the 2 360 is eating PS3 alive. PS3 has no chance of selling more software than the 360. That doesn't include the huge digital sales 360 gets either compared to the lackluster PSN sales.

No one said 1mil sellers were more important than general software, or that it's even important. It's just a number that some people find interesting.

It's about as important about your graphic threads. Graphics don't make a game good, but some people enjoy discussing them.

Its funny some keeping posting about Selnors graphics threads. Those types of threads I used to post hasnt happened in what 12 months????

It's a shame that people see a thread that they find insignificant and proceed to post in the thread identifying that the thread is insignificant. And then telling why the thread is insignificant. Even when no one claims the thread to have been significant and rather just fancy entertaining the topic. This could be acceptable if these users at least responded to the topic, but when their sole purpose is to diminish the meaning of the thread even though several users have tried to discuss the topic, it's retarded.

doesn't matter kinect sold more then move

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

When it comes to total software sold both the 360 and the PS3 will be stuck in the slot that they are at now 5th and 6th place. The DS has a slight change of surpassing the Wii in total software sales but the gap between the DS and 360 is to large for the 360 to overtake. Like wise the gap between the 360 and PS3 is to large for the PS3 to overtake the 360. If everything goes right for the PS3 the rest of this generation then it might narrow the 88.41 million sales gap by 30 million but who knows since the 360 has still one of its biggest sellers in Halo 4 coming out this November. Also total software sales is much more important then the number of million seller since MS, Nintendo and Sony don't get paid more if a game sells more then a million copies as a matter of fact a game that sells over a million copies is much more likely to sell a lager amount of its total sales at discount prices and has a higher change of being bundled.

Although it's pretty hard to judge X360 aoftware sales as MS never gives info of software shipments like Sony and Nintendo. As much as I love vgchartz there are pretty huge errors in software tracking from time to time especially outside of Japan and America where PS3 does the best and X360 relatively worst.

The gap is what it is also their are a lot of 360 games that are untertracked more then on the PS3.  Also their are no numbers for games on demand or the gap would even be bigger.
