Forums - Nintendo - Suda 51 still without a Wii U dev kit

Gaming Everyhting

Goichi Suda probably isn’t making a Wii U game right now. That’s because he still doesn’t have a development kit.

As far as whether or not he’s looking to get ahold of one, Suda 51 said:

“It’s hard to say. Maybe, maybe not. It’s really depending on publishers. We are developers, so it’s up to a publisher.”

It feels like it was ages ago when Suda 51 first said he’d like to make No More Heroes for Nintendo’s next console. As we now know, that’s the Wii U. But without a dev kit, he won’t be able to make No More Heroes 3…

not really much of a loss really. nmh was pretty bad, imo, and regardless of what anyone on this site feels the cold hard facts is his games don't sell.

Well when Nintendo dumps this system year four then they can have a dev kit and give us some decent games that no one buys.

Sadly.

Nintindo dumped Wii in 2010?

i think the Wii sports 2 game came out in 2010 as well :P

And this game was published by Nintendo

OT: they can port whatever they have later :P

So, some multiplatforms games could not come to Wii U and one of the developers who make temporal exclusive games to the predecessor don't have a dev kit just months before release.

Great news.

Congrats , I agree with you.

:( It would be nice if NMH3 was just as timely in its appearance as NMH 1 had been. I felt 2 was a bit of a sophomore slump, where the good ideas were there but the cohesion was not, so i would be eager to see a return to form.

and it doesn't matter if his games don't sell, so long as they're profitable, which is where the bigger uncertainty lies

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I wouldn't have bought his game, but it's potentially a worrying sign for future WiiU support if Nintendo hasn't given out enough dev kits

Well, despite no love it seems from the posts above, I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of Killer7 for Wii U
