Resident Evil 6 will launch on October 2 worldwide instead of the originally-promised November 20, the horror’s Captivate trailer has shown.

The new date appears at the end of the video, originally due out at 4pm today, which is pretty heavy on story detail following its debut trailer in January.

oh my god....That looks like the greatest fucking game of 2012. Leon vs Chris. Oh man nerdgasm nerdgasm!

On a serious note, that was awesome. Long time fan of resident evil, through its ups and downs (RE5 was pretty good, despite all the hate) Anyways, this story looks great, has a ton of key characters and I think that mercenary with sherry might be steve burnside.
