Really doubt Activision and Konami won´t be supporting the Wii U.
If we´re talking about companies that won´t be supporting the system, or supporting it but not with their best games, you can probably think of Bethesda, CD Projekt, Bioware, etc..
This analyst has already been ripped to shreds for his report.
If I wasn't one of those that ripped him apart, I'd actually feel sorry for him.

The1 ya honestly you don't require any education in the field you are analyzing. I have seen analysts at big investment firms in the US, when I looked over their Bio realized they were promoted from advising people on farming equipment companies. The guy was an analyst about John Deer tractors then suddenly was giving his advice on Nintendo's business plans lol I wish I still had that old article and the guys name I laughed so hard.
Every industry is unique even the film, game and music industries are entirely unique. A business model successful in the film industry isn't in the games industry. A success in the cell phone industry isn't necessarily in the handheld or home console industry.
It seems analysts these days are trained very broadly when it comes to how business operates. They are not educated in individual industries and they are then placed in any industry their employer wants them analyzing.
Fact is an analyst advising about game companies needs to be a game expert. I am not talking Michael Pachter I am talking someone who lives and breathes games someone who was likely employed in marketing at one of the big three one who knows the industry inside and out. That is the analyst I would want to listen too!
The fact that I often know more about the industry than many of these professional analysts. The fact that I predict events better then even Mr.Pachter most of the time. Seriously hurts any respect I have for analysts and I certainly wouldn't want to hire one. I would far rather invest money myself in industries I understand. Then trust some analyst who isn't a life long highly experienced and trained specialist!

This would be WiiU specs conspiracy thread 2 for today then?
Anyway, I really, REALLY doubt it. Let's wait until E3.
I don't really trust Analysts, they are usually working with 3rd party information plus hearsay. Plus another reason to doubt this Activision is a US company how can a Japanese based analyst say for certin what a US company is going to do.
Plus we don't have that long to wait. Nintendo's fiscal year ended in March so it time again for another investor meeting. I do expect we are going to get Wii U information since Iwata is going to have to cut the expected bad news with something good.
In 2 months analyst will have a lot of explaining to do when the Wii U is demonstrated to be more powerful than the XBox 360 (by a substantial amount) and most major third party publishers (including Activision) demonstrate strong support for the platform.

No they usually play stupid and/or say nothing to draw attention to themselves. Heck I don't think Patcher has ever eatten crow over the BS he has shoveled.
An Australian analyst based in Japan has inside knowledge on the plans of a company with HQ in the US and France, unlikely.
Said analyst bending available reports (the disputed/refuted Industry Gamers anonymous developer piece) as well as lack of announcements by companies to support his long-held position that Nintendo would be a better stock value if it developed for mobile platforms, likely.
I would find it hard to believe that Nintendo would be running third party commercials for Skylanders in the US (there are TV ads on cable networks targeted to kids which mention only the Wii and 3DS versions of the game) if the two were not going to be continuing in a long-term relationships.
