It has just come to my attention that someone on the VGchartz team has come with with an amazing idea of making a new site! (woo)... so why is this a problem?

The basic is to just copy over VGchartz game database and head the site just of that... but why? 

the database already exsists here so whats the point in this? at all! we could just focus on creating the biggest data base here instead of doing this?

By FAR the weirdiest thing about this new site is that there are all NEW forums and we all already have an account. All they are going to do is split out relitivly small community in half. I really fail to see why anyone would think this was a good idea. Non of our threads are going over plus our points/friends/badges and what not are all gone. (i dont really care about that last bit, only cutting the comunity in half).

so fellow VGcharterz.. if you enjoy this site, when Gamewise.co Opens.. just leave it alone and focus on keeping this site active. :)

Or we could just keep visiting VGC and then spend an occasional visit to Gamewise.co

Gamewise is a new site. You shouldn't feel obliged to visit it.

But from what I've seen of it, it's pretty cool, so you'd probably want to.

And, the amazing will remain at both, without drawing lines down the middle of which is better.

is is a site specialising in Video Game sales? 

or we could just stay here and make this site better.. the reality is people wont use both... eventually they will pick one or the other. Split Community. Dead on both sides.. GREAT IDEA! :D

Well I'm will be on Gamewise since it's where the database is going..

This also means approximately 15 people will stay on VGChartz.

Honestly, I'm ready for GameWise and the fresh start it will bring as a new community. As much as I've enjoyed the specialized community and it's focus on game sales, I'm pretty burned out on the roller coaster of momentum for each console/company based on sales and not on the actual things that matter: the games. It also doesn't help that a lot of the great features and tools that spurred discussion are no longer available.

Hopefully GameWise and it's focus on an awesome Gaming Database will lead to some great gaming discussions and communities. Can't wait for it to come out in 2014.
