Still staying firm with what you say? |
Yup, the only thing that would change my mind about this is if Square Enix undershipped it or something, but I don't think that was the case. When Dangeki numbers arrive with shipments, we'll know for sure how bomb or not this game was
That's what I think anyway, but what I hope is that scenario you described.

Well it is already almost past the Re:coded DS game in Japan, and 358/2 is only a few months in sales away. So what is the big deal?
Now compared to the first version of Birth by sleep it could have a ways to go. So I agree here. |
I don't want to say this but in terms of production value 358/2 and Re:coded aren't comparable to KH 3D. It's more comparable to BBS. IMHO.

You're right, but nobody would be crazy to expect BBS numbers for this game... just more than it did. I expected 350k FW.
The userbase is so dispersed with this series... maybe they notice that and keep the next one on 3DS... another change would kill even more sales, imo.

The 3DS had a 10,000 yen ($100) price cut in Japan. The 3DS also had three IPs in the pipeline that were guaranteed to move a million copies in Japan alone. Sony can cut the price, but they will still lack the games. Right now they have zero million sellers in the pipeline with zero to be expected to be announced. What this means is that Sony absolutely has to cut the price of the Vita this year, otherwise they won't be able to maintain a solid baseline that encourages support from developers. The Vita doesn't need to sell 50k units every week, but a minimum of 20k is desired. |
Sony did a little price cut and added a 4GB card on 3G models for next week. A little bump is to be expected, but not that great, since they're probably just trying to get rid of undemanded 3G units.
Not trolling but 12k is bad. And I'm not sure what game will give vita a long term boost. What would that game be, Gran Turismo?
Price cut to 199.00 or 189.00 might provide short term boost but they need a game with long legs

Ofcourse I know that. I am also expecting 300K+ FW and anything lower than that is a dissapointment but 2nd week is always an indicator for me so if the 2nd week is great then I won't call it disappointment.
2nd paragraph
Why not make it multi-plat?

There were rumors about resources shifting from PSV to 3DS development a few weeks ago, but nothing substantial has been confirmed yet. 3DS retail games did not become eShop titles. eShop software sales are far lower than retail, so it would make no sense whatsoever to opt for the eShop. |
What 3DS games were cancelled... just Assassin's Creed if I remember correctly.
Megaman Legends 3 cancelation had nothing to with hardware sales, I think. It just died withot Keiji Inafume
Kingdom Hearts is doing well:no surprise..cant wait for it to come here
..kid Icarus is also holding off well
