Well it is already almost past the Re:coded DS game in Japan, and 358/2 is only a few months in sales away. So what is the big deal?

Pos Game Platform Year Genre Publisher North America Europe Japan Rest of World Global
1 Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep PSP 2010 Role-Playing Square Enix 0.53 0.33 0.75 0.22 1.84
2 Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - Final Mix PSP 2011 Role-Playing Square Enix 0.00 0.00 0.15 0.00 0.15

Now compared to the first version of Birth by sleep it could have a ways to go. So I agree here.

It won't cross those 358 days ever! Not without a Final Mix release... and even then it's hard! And that was considered just mediocre sales for the series.

It was a disappointment, no doubt about it.

I think word of mouth and time will push it past 358. In two years if it has not done so I will give you control of my sig either here or gamewise. Mark my words VicViper!  I see a 60 percent drop next week, and then it will hold at around 20,000 for a few months, before dropping off for a while. There will be discounts, multiple holidays, etc. 5 year system life cycle is a long time!

Still staying firm with what you say?

Yup, the only thing that would change my mind about this is if Square Enix undershipped it or something, but I don't think that was the case. When Dangeki numbers arrive with shipments, we'll know for sure how bomb or not this game was

That's what I think anyway, but what I hope is that scenario you described.
