3DS selling 2x MORE in Japan than Vita WorldWide.

Sony is in DEEP trouble.

All the 3DS needed over there were a few games and it exploded. Why can't the same thing happen for the Vita? I would say that they need to do something, but not that they are in trouble. That is just my thought about the matter, and I really do not know much about the system other than playing it for an hour at gamestop (even pushed a kid away who was trying to take a peek) and thought it was a well made system.

J/K about the kid. :)

The 3DS had a 10,000 yen ($100) price cut in Japan. The 3DS also had three IPs in the pipeline that were guaranteed to move a million copies in Japan alone.

Sony can cut the price, but they will still lack the games. Right now they have zero million sellers in the pipeline with zero to be expected to be announced.

What this means is that Sony absolutely has to cut the price of the Vita this year, otherwise they won't be able to maintain a solid baseline that encourages support from developers. The Vita doesn't need to sell 50k units every week, but a minimum of 20k is desired.

Sony did a little price cut and added a 4GB card on 3G models for next week. A little bump is to be expected, but not that great, since they're probably just trying to get rid of undemanded 3G units.
