This thread shows me just how doomed Nintendo really is...

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Not in the OP's opinions. He obviously thinks that Nintendo propels talk and discussion.

One sentence is not exactly an OP with a lot of effort put into it. Honestly, it isn't.

Look, I just typed three sentences.

Which further proves its point

I was talking about the discussion for the Charts. Barely anyone wants to talk about dying consoles, why? It's boring. Especially when more than one of them are dying not just one being "DOOMED!!" The reason VGC got more traffic in 2007/2008 is because thats when all the new Home Consoles were coming out. When that happens consumers and gamers browse the internet for anything they can find, i.e. VGC.

As it is right now people are browsing the internet like crazy looking for anything and everything about the Wii U. You can see it in the way people type and their status updates. When are we going to learn something about this thing! When is E3 coming out so that I can take a breath of fresh air? Is the vita going to succeed, is the 3DS going to miss a step? What is going on with the other two HD consoles?

Lots if excitement right now Ninpie, just got to see it.

Yeah, lots of excitement...

You need to realize that you, me and NintendoPie combined account for approximately 65 % of all posts on VGC each and every week.

Ain't that the truth.

I suppose that you're right.  I'm just angry that I can't get away with a one sentence OP.

Doesn't matter anymore really. In fact, if I were Nintendo, I would drop the wiiu altogether and DSi 3d. Apple has the tablet market conquered. No one will want to buy a tablet that they have to have an independent box connected to wirelessly in order for it to function. Where is the portability of that? If anything, that is antiportable. Not to mention sony already has tried that little trick the wiiu is going to do TWELVE MONTHS EARLIER. Look where that got them. The vita tablet controller is having a very shaky start. Imo sony will have an easier time selling a 100 dollar box that gives them motion control(move) than they will have in adding a 250 dollar tablet controller(vita). If sony can't find success in this field, what makes you think Nintendo can?

How hard is it to leave your WiiU on, honestly?

@italics. Are you kidding? Nintendo succeeded on and on where Sony didn't. The DS destroyed the PSP, destroyed. The Wii motion controls were embraced on a global scale. Can't say the same about move.

Even beyond that. The Vita costs 250 bucks! The WiiU controller comes bundled. Who even has a Vita?? It sold 1.6Mil units this far. Even if it tracked better, how could a few months in the marketplace offer a measure for success?

@Happy Dolphin
It may be cheaper but the functionality of the wiiu tablet is vastly more limited. The psvita tablet controller add on has failed to meet expectations set by the likes of the ipad, hence I said, the tablet market was cornered by apple. You make it seem as if I was trying to say the vita was successful. If anything I said the opposite. Also, how hard is it to leave your wiiu on? I don't think you realize the stupidity of that question. How can you plug in your wiiu when you are moving about town or on a train? That is why it is antiportable. It is like Nintendo has made a tablet that is not portable.

@Homer

Yes, Apple pretty much owns the tablet market right now, but that doesn't mean the Wii U won't be successful. The tablet appeal is just part of the console, there will be plenty of other things it can offer to be sure. Most importantly, actual BUTTONS. I like buttons. They are pretty important for most hardcore games, or just any game really. Also, yes, I guess it's not portable in the traditional sense, but thats really not the point. The fact is you can use the screen to play it anywhere in the house in the instance that someone else is using the TV your Wii U is hooked up to. A matter of convenience, and I think its awesome. The point of the Wii U is primarily for console game experiences, and not for on the go games anyway, which is what a majority of Ipad apps focus on anyway. Really there's a lot of difference between the two focuses. So again, I think its wrong to assume the Wii U will perform poorly just because of the Ipad.
