Just watched The Raid 2, I agree 9/10.
Awesome action movie. It looks and sounds great on blu-ray, huge improvement over the first one in every aspect. Kept me glued to the screen the entire time. Great car chase, prison battle, gun fights, boss battles, each fight is unique and entertaining. The only downside, pretty mediocre title for the best action movie of the decade. Btw is there something wrong with me that all the extreme violence makes me laugh...

Too bad it's so late already, have to wait until tomorrow to watch the extras. And I'll probably watch it again after that. It's the ultimate video game movie. Actually there is a video game of the movie http://theraidarcade.com/#/ Not representative, the main character in the movie has regenerative health!

just finished watching need for speed the title says it all there really is a need for speed here its slow paced and the story is one big cliche and 2 hours is too long. I expected more racing,crashes etc. but nothing. fast and furios should be renamed and given the title need for speed.

Starts of great then only goes down, becoming more and more implausible.

First the good, best surround sound I've heard in a long time. The plane crash gave me goose bumps, and the wind effects are as immersive as the waves in Master and Commander. It looks great too, definitely worth the effort of filming on location. Only continuity is a bit lacking, for example the level of snow on the trees varies a lot throughout the movie. Liam Neeson looks the part, but it feels like he did all his lines sitting in a comfortable warm studio. Whenever he talks it doesn't feel like he is there.

The plot is very unconvincing for a survival situation. Sleeping in the snow (on top) in a blizzard. Leaping of a cliff to grab a tree, jumping farther than an Olympic athlete. Jumping in a river, keep the wet clothes on and they're dry in the following scene. The bang sticks were already discredited by myth busters. And ofcourse they should have never left the plane in the first place. If you want a movie about the will to survive, The way back is 10x better.

Anyway I bought it for the surround sound and that didn't disappoint.

Better than I remembered. Looks and sounds great on blu-ray, except the extras which are a straight dump from the dvd. I watched the director's cut, couldn't tell though what the extra bits are, it's only 3 minutes extra according to imdb. The performances aren't all that stellar, yet with the visual style and effects it all delivers a highly polished b-movie. Not bad at all for 60 days filming.

Also interesting original set of characters compared to the usual cast in these kind of movies. That pushes it ahead for me over the 'remake' 2013 Riddick.

I thought you loved need for speed because you said to me to watch it a couple of times thats why I gave it a 6 otherwise it would have been a 4

^ Zero theorem didn't do it for you? I'll watch it in couple days when it comes out here. Terry Gilliam has yet to disappoint me. Did you like The imaginarium of Dr Parnassus?

I didnt really see any point zero theorem was trying make ..it was just a confusing and tiresome experience and lead to nowhere. maybe its just me maybe i didnt get it.

dont think I watched The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus im not sure I will give it a try tomorrow. 

Ah, a typical Terry Gilliam movie :) Parnassus is like that too.

what I meant when I said confusing is if you asked me anything about it I couldnt tell you one thing if you ask me about Brazil I could tell you something and Brazil is way more complicated.. in all honesty it was a mess but like i said maybe its me. I recommend you watch The Trial (1962) Orson Wells novel by Kafka it reminded me so much of Brazil great movie.
