The end Boss fight is much funner than everything this guy dreamed of.

Wow, it funny how much flak a game or series can receive when we become detached a few years from its release. MGS4 is was lauded by nearly all as excellent.

Ignore, these are the same guys that see generic games like Gears Of War and Uncharted as the best thing ever in the world.

their argument is invalid.

God damn, how many of these self-important indie developers are we going to have to suffer through.

My thoughts exactly. They're largely just a bunch of losers angry about being irrelevant in the industry they are failing in; yet somehow hold the fantasy of themselves being all-knowing geniuses of the gaming industry. Somehow they think that the fact they made a buggy Tetris or pong ripoff game for a cell phone makes them legitimate experts. I think it's a little odd that they go after developers that make actual fantastic games.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

the guy talking made this, behold the best game ever, made from MS Paint , Arial Text, a bunch of photos taken by phone and the most basic physic design ever made

even if this game is free I wouldn't want to play it.

The original MGS was quite exceptional. After that...the series kind of goes off the rails.

Very true. I loved MGS and I've replayed it a few times which I rarely do with games. MGS 2 lost me with the vampire and GW and all the crazy stuff. By the end of MGS 2 I felt more more like I was playing out of obligation rather than having fun. MGS 3 lost my interest with the whole camo thing and the even more convoluted story. I never finished MGS 3 and I haven't played a MGS since.

I am looking forward to MGS Revengence. I never hated Raiden like most people and the fast paced action look like fun. The story looks dumb, but I haven't liked a MGS story since the first.

It's strange you find MGS 3 story convoluted - I mean, it is convoluted, but not nearly as much as MGS2, imo. At least it doesn't have mind controlling arms and vampires.

But you haven't seen nothing until you see MGS 4 story, they achieved what is was thought impossible: surpassed all definitions of convoluted in this one while trying to explain all other games.

(I still like MGS4, but much less than 1 or 3. 2 is inexcusable)

Kojima does focus too much on storytelling and cinematics and not enough on gameplay for my taste...
