So there should be a gamer rewards system or something? Every x dollars you spend on the network get's you reward points collect Y rewards points and you can redeem them for stuff: games, XBL Gold membership (PSN+ if you're on that network), other stuff?

The difference is your speculation was proven wrong, and his wasn't. This promotion has absoluetely nothing to do with keeping developers microsoft owns under their wing. That makes no sense. While on the other hand his speculation is just that speculation. You can't really say if its wrong or not because you don't know what microsoft's relationship with a hypothetical publisher is.

And obviously they aren't being given out for free, hence why microsoft is giving them out with xbox live suscriptions in the hopes of getting more gold members. OT:

I wish MS would hand out such a deal for people who renew their membership as well, I have to renew my XBL membership in two weeks (Entering year 6) and unfortunately I've never gotten any deal at all.

But to be honest, MS still has to work on things like this a lot.

For example:

Had to send my previous xbox in for repairs twice, what did I get in return? Some lame ass 30 xbl card.

XBL rewards program? Still doesn't support my country for some bizarre reason.

Not too mention the amount of apps available on XBL in my country is just piss poor in comparison to others.
