Luigi's Mansion 2 over 100.000. Good.

really, Xenoblade numbers are too good to be true

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Kid icarus is making me nervous. Hopefully 70,000 plus in states first week. Get the game demo at all gamestops and see how it does.

It's the wrong game on the wrong system. If it manages more than 500k lifetime (worldwide), then that will be very good already.

I doubt it. I can easily imagine it breaking a million, perhaps by the end of 2012. The reviews are good, people trust the Nintendo name, the 3DS market is growing, there isn't too much competition, and preorders are, if not great, at least decent.

I am pretty sure you could have said all the same things about Metroid Prime Hunters and Star Fox Command.

Metroid sold over 700,000, despite the DS's pathetic FPS fanbase. Star Fox had mediocre reviews and still sold half a million. Star Fox 64 3D has outsold it in half a year, and it was a remake! I think the market for shooters is bigger on the 3DS than the DS, and Uprising doubles as an Action game, another genre that seems to be doing well on the 3DS if Resident Evil and Pokemon Rumble Blast are anything to go by.

Except for Steel Diver, which is supposed to be a truly bad game, and Star Fox 64 3D, a remake, every Nintendo game for the 3DS so far is either a million seller or well on the way to such a number. Considering Kid Icarus's early reviews and the excitement I hear around the interwebs, it's hard for me not to imagine it doing very well.

Actually, ignore what I said. I'm starting to see your side of the argument now.

Xenoblade is on fire

Let's hope the Xenoblade pre-orders are accurate. Cautiously optimistic...

i think it has a very good chance! still waiting for some tv commercials though. maybe i should watch G4 tv more often.

There's still a fair few weeks to go; I wouldn't worry about not seeing any just yet!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

These chartz are hilarious.

Assassins Creed 3 is already in the top 5 pre-ordered games in the country.

Kid Icarus has relatively low "brand awareness" with much of today's audience compared to other franchises like Smash Bros. or Mario. But I think what the game has going for it, that will keep sales steady, is that Sakurai made it, and he is a world-class designer. Smash Bros. started from nothing and quickly became an enormous success. I think, eventually, Kid Icarus will see similar success, especially if the online aspects can maintain an active community. But I don't think first week sales are going to impress anybody.

I myself am not getting the game. I sold my 3DS a few months ago, and am eagerly awaiting a 3DS Lite XL to come out, then I will pick up Paper Mario 3 and be whole once more.

RE: Racoon City just got a 4 from ign; I wonder how that might effect its legs.
