90m lifetime

While the milestone means relatively little on its own, I think this is really indicative of how much Sony has managed to reverse the fortunes of the PS3 over its lifespan. It started off struggling and certainly fell hard from the PS2 but it's done a lot to recover.
Keep on truckin' PS3.

100m seems a bit too high imo. I don't think it'll have the legs to do that once nex gen starts. I say it'll do between 85 & 95. 100m seems like a rather fortunate scenario imo. |
I think it will depend on when exactly next gen starts and at what price point
anywho CONGRATZ!

I tought about that too, what do you think about my prediction?
January 2013
76-77million
January 2014
90 million
January 2016(not 2015)
+100 million

I reckon 80 Million is a good range for PS3. I dunno if it can reach 100 Mil...

Yeah that's good, I'd more say
Jan 13 - 74 (14)
Jan 14 - 85 - (11)
Jan 15 - 92 - (7)
Jan 16 - 96 - (4)
Jan 17+ 100~
Providing Nextbox and PS4 launch late 2013, they both have 2 10m+ years left in them.

Not sure if it will or not, but I seem to remember that Ken Kutaragi predicted the PS3 would sell 100 million units. It'd be crazy if he was right.
