The nerd rage is strong in this thread indeed. No wonder the Chartz board seems to get deader and deader every year. Between low -res JPEGs and GIFs (really? 2012?) used to prove their points, I'm just glad real life has people with better things to do than debate minute differences between dated hardware platforms. Why not revive the GC v. Xbox v. PC debate at this rate? I'd much rather hear about the games, and why they are better. If graphics defined gaming nobody would game on anything but a PC, but obviously the wide range of gameplay afforded by consoles draws in the masses. So why bother fighting over this silly shit. I highly doubt in 15 years looking back if the differences between 360 or PS3 will even be noticable.
Only gameplay survives for decades. They will all look like crap in 10 years.

Not over-exaggerating, have you not read any articles by Digital Foundry? Drops to 30 FPS are common, here are some links and pictures

GT5 is the green line there, which is actually below 30FPS in a 12 car race with no weather. Same conditions as Forza 4, and stuggling.
I said the PS3 so called graphical kings, are not 720p, they are not in a different level then 360 exclusives.
Also you may not notice FPS drops, but you probably just aren't paying attention. 30FPS is still livablem 15FPS is chopey.

Thing is, the difference is so close it's all a matter of opinion. Some people might like Skyrim graphics just because of the great draw distance, some people might like Forza for the increadible detail, some people like uncharted because they like looking at trees, and some people like Gears because they take close up looks to their guns. Every game has their highlights, no 1 franchise is better then the rest this gen. PS360 are too similar.

Yes. No joke, thats all. Help me make it longer LOL. Here is Heavy Rain: Basically HR and ME2 are runner ups (Although ME2 has one artistic and its a readers choice whereas HR has all critics based). Alan Wake didn't get shit. God of War 3 dominates with 20 and I got even more for it ;). Feel free to look these up if you don't believe me. Google is your friend. Also I welcome any tries to upgrade the library of mine :'). How many runner up awards did Alan Wake and Heavy Rain get? If you include those, I bet Alan Wake is about on par with Heavy Rain. Either way, you agree Heavy Rain should not be part of the OP as a graphics king game as many 360 exclusive, and some multiplatform games (ME2, Crysis 2, etc) got as many or more graphics awards?

Also, you said FM4 beat GT5 here on VGChartz on a poll. Im guessing you are refering to this? = Long after people left did that happen. The first 200 votes or so, Forza 4 was in the lead, and most of the comments were pro-Forza.. I'm betting GT5 fans just came back and re-voted after their cache cleared naturally.
Honestly, I don't even know if you are trolling here or deliberately trying to waste my time. You're lucky im a sucker for sharing critics and media outlet awards. mmhhmmm I have the same feelings for you. I don't know how you can think that except for UC3, any PS3 exclusive or MP game is better looking then Gears 3. Even if you think they do look better (your opinion right?) it's not that big of a difference, so why you try to press it out to be....it's beyond me. |

I think whoever is agreeing, doesn't own a 360, or doesn't have a large library of games for the 360. I own/owned all the 7th gen consoles and handhelds, except I borrow a PSP. Uncharted 3 is definatly the best, but after that it's a mess up between MP titles, and exclusives on both consoles.
Does this make either console a graphics king? Well when a multiplatform title like Crysis 2, which is sub 720p, is comparable to the best looking exclusive....no I don't think the graphical difference is that huge, and really it's all a matter of opinion.

Not my point... it's nearly the end of the generation, and people are still arguing over which system has the best graphics as if it actually matters at this point. Of course, the people doing most of the arguing are the Sony fans, because it's the only victory they can point to this gen since they went from 1st to 3rd in market share and no longer have bragging rights in that department. PS Vita also has the best graphics ever by far for any dedicated handheld gaming device... how's that working out for them these days?
But I digress... because everyone knows you appreciate a game more because it has a slightly higher poly count, or better lighting, or slightly more detailed textures over its competitor's version, the differences of which are almost negligible when viewed on any 720p or 1080p HDTV from more than 5 feet away... right?
