Forums - Nintendo - What would you want Nintendo to make better with an eventual 3DS upgrade?

3DS XL, since when I tried out the 3DS it seems like almost the same size as a NDS lite at least to me ;x.

Longer battery life is a plus as well.

If I remember correctly the 3DS is slightly smaller and lighter than the NDS lite. Only slightly though lol

Dual analog, better screen resolution, and a better camera. If Nintendo adds all that, I may actually consider buying the updated version. I never ended up buying the DS Lite or DSi.

guess not lol

Yeah a larger 3ds (similar to the dsi xl) would make me a happy man indeed... I wouldn't have wanted a second circle pad in the past but I gotta say the add-on works really well (with REVELATIONS) and actually feels pretty comfy...a lot better than I expected that's fer damn sure.

I don't know if they can increase the screen resolution. What about the games that came out before the redesign, how would that work? But if they could do it that would be pretty cool. And I agree with making the 3d viewing angle wider.

The battery life for the NDS models seems a bit uhhh overrated (wrong word?) o.O? 14 hrs? what

Either way, the 3DS battery life is ouch ;x.

With 3D activated for all 5 hours, there's "(3D)" written like this at the side.

I tested without for all the time and it got to a good 7 hours.

I tested also in taking it in stand-by all the time and and it got to like 11 hours.

The fact here is that you don't know in what conditions are time taken in the for the NDS ones.

Also 3 to 5 hours was a statement made by Nintendo when the 3DS was announced not a proof made by some site.

You get my point, i hope.

I think he meant screen size. The resolution is fixed.

"3DS Pro"

- 4-inch Super AMOLED 3D top screen, 3.5 inch bottom touchscreen
- Added analog stick + LZ/RZ buttons (maybe like the original Wii Classic Controller)
- Larger battery
- Maybe more RAM/overclocked CPU-GPU
- Similar OS/UI to the Wii U.

Switching to Super AMOLED 3D I think would save them on battery power. One of the big killers of 3DS battery life is the back light on current LCD has to be very bright for the 3D effect, I think Super AMOLED would help with that (Super AMOLED/OLED screens are brighter and suck less power).

i can just agree with what every one else is saying. better battery life, a second analog circle and a wider angle for the screen... guess that is it... i dont have one right now, but if nintendo does it right next time i might be getting one

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
