Perhaps. But both games used versions of existing engines, and in the case of Mercenaries 3D, ripped off a a lot of characters and stages from earlier games. As for Revelations, it's week 1 was about 1/3 as big as RE5's on the PS3. RE5 had fantastic legs, and has probably reached 5 million if you count the various versions on just the PS3. Nintendo handhelds are infamous for giving games legs, suggesting that if Revelations follows a similar pattern, it will easily clear a million and possibly go on to 1.5 million over the 3DS's life. Not bad for a game made on an existing engine.

Yeah, he sounds satisfied, but I hope they will release RE:R on Vita in future to improve its commercial performance. I will buy it for sure, RE is the greatest game series for me, personally. Vita already using MT Framework Mobile in UMvC3, so I don't see any problems. They can make it anytime, technically.

I hope for a Vita port of RE:R, great game and to play it on that OLED with those analog sticks can only better the experience.

He should make it for the vita ..it sold poorly on 3ds because people who buy 3ds are usually into Zelda Mario nintendogs type of gamers not horror survival

It sold pretty well on the 3DS. Half a million sales in a month are nothing to sneeze at. Besides, what's to say the Vita would be a better fit? So far, Vita owners seem focused on Uncharted, a couple of sports games, and Little Deviants. Not exaclty a horror survival system.

I believe it is a little too early to say this game didn't sell well considering it has barely been out... If you expected it to sell 2+ million copies in the first month then you might as well go take a hit of pcp or crack right now. This game will have decent legs for a third party game. I plan on picking it up new on Amazon once I see a good price for it new on there.
