Simple question: what is the greatest home console Nintendo has ever made? I was going to make it the greatest home console ever made by any company, but thare would have been way too freaking many consoles to choose from and it would have eliminated the use of the poll. My favorite would have to be the N64 with the Gamecube coming in a close, close second.

I've never actually played the SNES, so despite how awesome it is (from what I've seen and heard) my vote still has to go to the N64 aka my childhood. Each title I got for it remained timeless :)

SNES hands down in terms of home console, and DS in terms of handhelds.

If we're not taking BC into consideration SNES, followed by Wii. If we are, the reverse.

However, if handhelds are included: DS wins easily.

Unless I had an emulator for the Snes and Nes and Virtual Boy, and GB series, or anything else I would not play the games again. But I am more than happy to play the N64 library on a daily basis.

OoT, Majora, Perfect Dark (they need to VC that somehow with a good framerate), Goldeneye, BAR, F-zero, etc.


Well, Perfect Dark has been ported with HD graphics to Xbox Live Arcade and even features online multiplayer. So, I'm pretty much satisfied =)

Well since the Snes is about to have a new game made for it I can see how you can say that. :)

I know it was put on HD for the 360, but I am talking about a playable Multiplayer online for the original. Remember how horrible the framerate would get with 8 bots plus human players? The N-bombs going off everywhere, rockets screaming past your head, and shields popping up on some of the more annoying bots? Yeah...

Yeah, and all those things are fixed (it is the original I'm talking about). Faster framerate, online multiplayer, widescreen format, everything is there!

 

Oh, and yes, those are large i's :P

Definitely the GameCube. Many great childhood days were spent on that machine :D super mario sunshine and Luigis mansion, great games!!
