Biggest Disappointment: Assassin's Creed Revelations, Red Dead Redemption

Biggest Surprise: Mass Effect 2 (had not even noticed, let alone played ME1, some the engaging universe was beyond what I expected)

Suppose it's not a great surprise to see so many blockbusters like Killzone, Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty and Mass Effect on the disappointment lists. I can forgive many people for being disappointed with most Assassin's Creed games, but can't understand the user you included ACII. None of them are clearly bad games, did everyone just expect too much? I know I did when it came the AC Revelations, and I never really got to grips with the wild west setting in Red Dead.

Biggest Disappointment: Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy 7 Compilations, Infinite Undiscovery, Gears of War franchise, Little Big Planet.

Biggest Surprise: Nintendo DS JRPG collection, Playstation Portable JRPG collection, Baten Kaitos, Tales of Symphonia, Uncharted 2 (Did not enjoy Uncharted 1), Infamous (rented it, eventually bought it), Fallout 3, Skyrim (got bored of Oblivion when I played it).

Biggest Surprises: Dragon Age: Origins, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Rival Schools, Gunstar Heroes, Mortal Kombat 9, Uncharted Series, Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Vanquish, Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, Star Ocean: 2nd Story, Guilty Gear, Killzone 2, Modern Warfare, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, X-Men Legends, DC Universe: Online, Flower, Heavy Rain, Shadow of the Collossus, Ico, Zone of the Enders, Zone of the Enders 2, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Tomba!, Suikoden series (Minus 4), X-Men Vs Street Fighter, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Bayonetta, SSX (PS2), Twisted Metal 2, Super Mario Kart, Mario 64.
