Nah The PSP has a 30 million user install base already. The Wii si just under 20 million. In order for the Wii to surpass the PSP to 40 million it has to sell twice as fast. The Wii simply won't outsell the PSP 2:1 this year maybe closer 1.5:1 but not 2:1.

My money is on the PSP but the Wii will beat the PSP to 60 million!

At the moment I would still think Wii, Wii should manage it in November, or if not early December.... PSP could manage it mid-late December, but I am betting on early January.

PSP if it continues to sell this well, i think the wii will maybe scrape 40 million at the end, but it seems PSP will reach there before..
Now will wii reach 50 million before DS hits 100?!!! thats a brain stormer!!

Hmm.. the Wii would have to sell twice as fast as the PSP to make it there first, and the PSP is moving pretty respectable numbers. Maybe if Wii production raises to around 2M per month and it keeps selling out, but Nintendo might still be too cautious for that.

Then again, the idea of the Wii making it to 40M first doesn't look that crazy compared to the thought of the Wii passing the 360 during the summer a year ago. =P
