So I was curious as I am not an expert on this sport does the Preseason often reflect results of the regular season or does it not at all like in Football and Hockey? The Rockies seem better than average and possibly with keeping up with to some degree.

Ryan you have automatically been added to the NHL playoff predictions group of winners.

Much less than other sports. Guys are used much differently than they will be over the season, especially the pitchers, and players who won't even make the roster tend to come and go. This and late September are pretty much the only time you're going to see relievers go more than two innings, for example.

Thanks, i hope Colorado is decent, but given their history they will probably play baseball like a womens team. All that matters, to me is they rock the hell out of the mariners, Cubs, White Sox, Giants and the Yankees.

Are you talking about in the ten interleague games that these teams have played together?

No, I am saying I want them to lose and lose badly against the Rockies in the regular season.

Go Nats! DC baseball is starting to come alive.

They seem to be the sexy pick for one of the wildcard spots in the National league. They have a strong pitching core, (this week has been awful though; grapefruit league injuries, Strasburg on a tight IP count and drama with John Lannan), Bryce Harper should be on board sometime this summer, don't see why they can't make a splash.

We still need to upgrade at the leadoff position as Ian Desmond is not that good.

Today is the beginning of the Cub's quest for the World Series.

They and the Nationals meet while both being undefeated. Something's got to give.

Y'all better take care of my boy Gio! And we, in turn, solemnly swear to take good care of your former prospects!

Dang! Cubs perfect season went down the toilet yesterday.

Bad managing and bad relief pitching tend to help when it comes to losing.

Heh, don't expect much.. This year is pretty much a throwaway as far as I'm concerned. I don't think I've ever been more certain about a team having a bad season than the 2012 Cubs. I mean just look at the lineup, absoltely brutal.. Litterally the only bright spots on the team that I see right now are Castro and Garza. I'm not just basing this cynicism on the first two games either. I knew this team was screwed before they even stepped on the field.

While I will say the future looks bright, it is a VERY distant future. I got us down for contending again in 2014 at the very earliest, as Theo has a hell of a mess to clean up left by the incompetent Jim Hendry.
