This site show clear cut facts that Nintendo Dominates sales wise so nintendo fans gather here cause they have facts here to back them against 360 fanboys and ps3 fan boys

Well.... i came here because a sony fan (diomedes1970, or something like that) always brought this website into the discussions on a spanish website (meristation.com) funny thing, I came here when the wii released... i never saw diomedes in this website again.. or in meristation for that matter

I came here because I was looking for GameCube vs Xbox and PS2 statistics. Couldn't find any but this site appeared in the search that was about...September 2005? I think, may have been later. However, I didn't join until 2 years later. Thing is, I came to the site about once a week after 360 came out to keep tabs on its sales. Then after Wii and PS3 came out. I was on the site much more often keeping tabs on mostly the Wii so I could taunt my Xbot friends. Remember when 360 was outselling the Wii? Lol.

After being an PC gamer for years, I got a Wii in '09 and got a couple games day one. A couple of them were things I would have skipped. So I looked at all sorts of sights - so I would know what good games to get and which to skip.

I enjoy the numbers, sales and reactions. But what kept me coming back here and not the other sites is the well moderated post. Sure anyone can love this or that, but scrolling through pages of not even funny insults feels like a waste of time.

Most of the time here are rather constructive or a supper funny not really personal insult. That I can live with.

(Although, some my say I am a traitor cause I got an Xbox in late '10.)

I'd definitely not say so. I've been a Nintendo fan my entire life but this gen I even bought my 360 before my Wii. And on top of that I'm pretty sure I've spent over 90% of my gaming time this generation on Xbox (not counting handhelds).

I was looking for sales data and checked out the counter-based site first and realized it had no basis in reality.

Then I found this and used it as a place for sales updates and news. I was very active but as the Wii waned somewhat in the last couple of years and a lot of people got down on it (sometimes with reason, often without or just to troll), I moved on somewhat.

I am back now (at least sometimes) because I missed it and because I can see that at least some of the criticism leveled during those times was not misplaced (though not all of it was deserved).

Decided to join.

I started my forum days on NSider, NoA/Nintendo Power's official Nintendo forums (Actually, JoelCool was another NSider member, so you could say that he's my oldest VGC friend ). Awesome forum community with great members and discussion. Unfortunately, around the time when Nintendo Power was cut off from NoA and given to Future, they decided to close up NSider. To this day, Nintendo of America still doesn't have an official forum. It's really kind of sad... (although some of the other exiles have started up NSider2 and N-Sider... but I haven't bothered with those communities.)

As for how I came upon VGChartz? Well, NSider members used VGChartz when looking at how Wii and DS were performing during the early days, so I was somewhat familiar with the site once NSider closed down. I was looking for a new home, and I definitely liked the discussion I saw here, so I decided to join up in April 2008. Haven't looked back since.

i came here from gamespot -the worst of the worst communities , they down play vgchartz all the time , , and they have got worst over time , you say one word your constantly modded over there just for the heck of it,

i gave up on that site after having a suspension overturned and a banning overturned, i told them thats it , -- lock my account , and that was it ,
aint looked back since,

and i own multiple consoles i do like nintendo more , thanks to 4 of the 5 systems they have release offering me the games i liked , --nes snes n64 wii being the 4 and i like all their handhelds so far - never let me down ,

that dont mean sega ms atari or sony are bad by any means , i like and own all of those -well i only own 1 of the ataris and 4 of the segas out of 5 and 1 of the 3 sega handhelds , but ya .

thats how i transfered to here ign and giant bomb the 3 sites i go to on a daily bases
