WW is celshaded not hand painted, when I hear hand painted I think more along the lines of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Celshading is just a shading technique with the use of textures and dark lines. (ie It doesn't need to be hand drawen to be celshaded) PSO for the Gamecube used celshading along with traditional texturing, for an example.

This is too uncertain to even speculate about.

But somehow, I don't see Retro doing a game with this kind of graphics.

But who knows, "hand-painted visuals" doesn't necessary mean bright or cute graphics, it can also be used to show horror. For example, if they are working on a sequel of Eternal Darkness (as it was rumored), they may use this technique in some stages.

They should finally be allowed to make a new IP, making a Zelda game would be unnecessary. They could revamp F Zero though.

A re-make doesnt need to be done. A sequel to wind waker, yes.
