Forums - Nintendo - Bored With My DS

I have the similar feeling with my PSP to be honest. I'm bored with the games I have, i think I'm gonna get Sypon Filter: Dark Mirror, then Logans Shadow. They both got good ratings and look fun.

Garcian have you ever played with Grasshopper's Contact ?
It's a strange JRPG similar to Mother games.
Seeing your avatar maybe you could be interested in it

Also what DS games do you own ?

I've had my ds since Xmas 04 and I've barley used it till last year.

The games i've had before 2007 were:
Super Mario 64- beat it first month of having my ds.
WarioWare:Touched!- beat it in like a week.. waste tbh.
Yoshi Touch and Go- played it, got bored with it, tossed it to the side.
Animal Crossing- my most hype ds game and the worst ds game I have. Played it maybe for 5 hours total. Really boring.. more fun as a kid.
Mario and Luigi: Parners in Time- played it for a while, kinda got stuck so I haven't played it for a while. Good game though.

Would of got Mario Kart but I can't get my wifi to work so I figured there wan't any point to getting the game. Got the wifi thing on the first day 2 years ago and still haven't got it to work. Another waste -.-.

Gave up with my ds for a good 16 months since then because nothing really interested me. But this year when I saw Pokemon coming out I had to beat the game. Eventhough i'm not a fan anymore I can't just beat all the other games and not this one. Great game and restored a little hope for the ds in me.

This christmas I got PH, NSMB, and BA2. I've only played New Super Mario bros so far and i'm loving it. I don't believe in starting a new game when you still have a game to beat. Hopefully PH is good as people say it is.

Agreed with the no good 3rd party games. All Nintendo game for ds ftw?

To anyone bored with his or her DS, I have the solution.

Send it to me.

I assure you that you cannot be "bored with your DS" if you do not have it, and that I promise that I would find it a good home with one of my friends or family members.

I haven't yet played Contact, but I've heard varying things about its quality.

Games I own/have owned/played:

Pokemon Diamond: Awesome, but basically the GBA-era Pokemon game given a visual upgrade

Phoenix Wright: Bored me to death, aside from the excellent writing

Castlevania games: Cool

Mario Kart DS: Fun, but I've outplayed it

Final Fantasy 3: Meh

Super Mario 64 DS: Too difficult to play without an analog stick

Advance Wars: Fun, but I've outplayed it

Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan: Music games aren't my cup of tea

Trauma Center (sort of): Have the Wii version

I think that about covers the games that people most praise about the system.

Well Contact is a very strange JRPG so it is a 50/50 situation, depend on personal taste.

Also I own New Super Mario Bros ( I love it, awesome 2D gamedesign ), Puzzle Quest ( if you love puzzle games then you should try it ) and Phantom Hourglass ( masterpiece ! ).

Also Garcian aren't you excited about some 2008 DS releases ? Like Dragon Quest 4, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, Professor Layton etc....

I noticed you mentioned them in your first post, but Lunar Knights and Hotel Dusk (also Trace Memory) are cool games. Others that I can recommend or are otherwise acclaimed:

Contra 4
Dragon Quest Monsters: Rocket Slime
Drawn to Life
Kirby Canvas Curse (awesome game!)
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis
Meteos
Picross DS
Planet Puzzle League
Sonic Rush (and possibly Adventure, though I haven't played it)

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings and the Mega Man ZX games are also supposed to be good for their genres, though I haven't played any of those three at all.

Hates Nomura.

Tagged: GooseGaws - <--- Has better taste in games than you.

Try Contra 4, Elite Beat Agents, Etrian odyssey, Glory Days 2, New Super Mario Brothers, Warhammer 40k, Picross, Final Fantasy XII: RV, Dementium: The Ward, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, Planet Puzzle League, Trauma Centre, Yoshis Island 2, Drawn to Life, Nervous Brickdown, Geo Wars: Galaxies, Lunar Knights, Metroid Pinball and Touch the Dead.

The DS is bursting with variety and quality in both the 1st and 3rd party department. If you are bored with it, it's because you aren't playing the great games it has to offer.

Elite Beat Agents is a very worth while buy. New Super Mario Bros looked fun too. Worms 2 also looks to heave some good replay value.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Okay, maybe I'll keep it around for a bit longer and try out some new games. I'd imagine upgrading to a Lite will help, too, since looking at my old fatty with its low brightness is a tad bit painful at times.
