Ah well, I suppose I was informed by an uniformed person on that one.  Still doesn't insult me in any way considering I view slavery as a dark side of USA history and very contradictory to the nation under which it was founded (All men created equal).  I guess they forgot to mention that certain races and gender didn't really matter at first.

Yea, that is mainly why I threw gender in there too since women couldn't vote, but they were technically "free" as long as they were white.

The funny thing is on many websites you can use all those terms and not get banned while if any derogatory term is used against a minority in America the ban is instant. Does not bother me, but it is a hypocritical stance. Probably just shows most whites are not offended by those terms.

I also remember in high school the black individuals always calling each other N*gger and thought it was funny. So I started calling my white friends cracker and saying cracker what all the time as they did. Really I just think it is easier to not be offended by things when you are not a minority and you are at the top of the privileged ladder. Meaning many of us are White males so we face the least amount of discrimination and are not threatened by those terms used to demean us.

The slurs are pretty light-weight, but the portrayals are pretty strong.
Up-tight / Douche-bro / control freak nerds is a pretty good portrayal of white america.
