You showed some clear cut "exceptions" to the rule. Tendency refers to the most part, and for the most part, third parties haven't done well on wii. Factual statement. I'm also sorry you're getting all bent out of shape about it that it's distorting your view.
I'm not changing the issue, you are missing the point. 2m vs ~1.5m is huge? It's only huge in your eyes because you look at the difference between HD CoD and MW, and translate it to the wii. Sure it's 25% difference but lot's of games do that from sequel to sequel. Look at resistance 1 to 2, 4m vs 2m, and then to R3, it's 2m to 1m! Drops of 50%. There's a long list of games that drop like that. Most wii game sequels have that drop. Look it up.
What you're confusing yourself on, or misunderstanding me on, is that comparitively across platforms MW didn't do as well on wii as CoD. But on the same platform, it did about normal. I illustrated why a game like MW was able to do so well on HD, and why it couldn't on Wii, and so starting with the idea that MW is just a normal game without that strength,...it did as well as CoD.
When I said "able to sell", I was referring to "able to sell like HD", hence all the comparisons to HD and strengths on HD.

I'm sorry I'm the one distorting things to my view? I have provided more than enough examples to disprove a tendency. You want more? Fine publishers who had a single title ship over 1 million copies - EA, Take Two, Sega, 505 Games, Ubisoft, Lucasarts, Activision, Disney, Capcom, Warner Bros, Konami, Midway, Mtv, THQ, Atari, Mindscape, Rocket Company, Deep Silver, RTL, D3 Publisher, Zoo games. I would say enough publishers managed to have hugely successful titles to disprove a trend.
But if we want to talk about distorting the truth how about the fact you have changed CoD3's 2.14m to 2m and MW's 1.43m to 1.5m. So you simply flat out lied. That's not even rounding up in anyway. It's actually a 33% drop. Which I think most people would agree is a very big drop. Oh and while we are at it look you have even more lies! Resistance 1 to 2 is not a 50% drop off. It is a 43.5% drop off. Comparing resistance 2 and 3 is ridiculous as 3 was only released recently. So in your magical world a 33% drop off = nothing worth noting but 43.5% = huge ZOMG drop off? As I think most people would agree with resistance series saw huge drops offs you know to the extent that the developer decided to stop working on it.
Had MW on wii released at the exact same time as it's HD counterparts it would have performed FAR better, easily beating out CoD3's 2.14m. My point still stands that Activision ruined their own franchise on the Wii by neglecting it. You didn't illustrate at all why CoD3 and MW are so vastly different that one would do well on wii but for the other it was impossible. Of course you should compare HD Mw with the wii version. Oh and if you think MW is so big because it's selling to mostly hardcore gamers then I guess that is another lie. MW is big because it mostly sells to casual gamers. MW2 sold over 20million copies. There aren't 20 million hardcore gamers. The people buying it are mostly casual. It is a HUGE casual title. People who buy just a handful of games a year.
Perhaps in your next response you could try not blatantly lying?
