Forums - Nintendo - Future Mario Games will have Downloadable Stages

?As I referred to before, for example, this is the idea of supplying new stages to Super Mariousers who want to play the game more but have completed the game and lost interest in the existing stages,? Iwata shares. ?This will not only give us new profits but will lengthen the life of a product, in that it will never be out of fashion and can keep attracting public attention as long as many people play it.? http://www.siliconera.com/2012/01/30/nintendo-president-mentions-downloadable-stages-for-future-mario-games/ - Now we know what 2D Mario will be helping to push.

It's intresting, but ONLY if they'll continue to give us complete games. Must be a +, not a -.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

They should add a level editor like in LBP, it takes much less time to craft a blocky Mario Level, I'm sure in a few weeks people would be able to create good levels. Also you have a touch screen to make things more smooth.

for what types of games?

It's simply amazing how Nintendo always comes up with new ideas to change the industry. Wonder how long it will take Sony to steal this one.

I don't mind this, as lon as they put a lot of content into the DLC--like, not an extra three levels for five bucks, but an extra three worlds for five bucks.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

They way other developers have been adding tons of content to their titles. I have a bad feeling about this.

On the other hand, as long as they keep releasing fresh new titles with brand new content; and not flood exisiting mario titles with cheap expensive DLC just to make a quick buck, then Im all for it. Nintendo games have long been top quality that they never needed extra content. I hope they don;'t go overboard with this. This could do some harm with the franchise's image in terms of quality (content wise)
