The selfish gene. There's a book about it. Nature is cruel and selfish. One day the earth will be swallowed by the sun ending it all. Probably not for a few billion more years of cruelty and selfishness though wether humans are around or not.

And before then, our grand x9000 children will be way outta here :P

All animals are selfish, not just humans. The difference with humans is that they are fully aware that they are being selfish and have the power to stop it, but they dont. I didnt even watch the video because it would just disturb me. Anyway, its strange that as a society it is built into our minds that we need to eat meat when we really dont, there are plenty of other ways of getting protein. But this will never change... I hope that someday 'they' will create a species that is as tasty as meat but is completely mindless!

a.) Carnivorous Plants don't get all of their nutrition, or even 50% of it, from consuming animals.

b.) Other Kingdoms of organisms like Fungi and Protista doesn't feel pain or pain in the nervous system implied sense.

c.) Yes, it's horrible that animals die for us to live/receive proper nutrition but I'd like to think that the preservation of our species should be important as well. Seriously, humans are omnivores. Deal with it. Hell, humans would not have evolved as they have if not for meat consumption.

d.) It's militant, douche-baggy vegans that need to stop making propaganda videos like this. Don't get me wrong, Vegans can be pretty cool people. It's just they're fighting this the wrong way. Instead of trying to get people to stop eating meat all together, maybe they should educate them about alternative sources of meat.
