If animal rights groups like PETA and their ilk really wanted to go after the meat industry they would be anti-gov libertarians like myself. Meat is cheap because the industry has been and will continue to be subsidized.
I always find it hillarious when animal nuts get into conversations with me and it is never more than a few minutes in before they start talking about bans on meat and new laws about animal cruelty and ect. If government was out of meat production then we would all be eating salads and having meat for special occaisions because of the high price (takes a lot more in the way of resources to raise pigs than lettuce ... only way around it is to take a bunch of money that doesn't belong to meat producers or the government for that matter and just give it to slaugherhouses).
Liked the video tho. I thought it was very disturbing even though I don't believe animals have rights. And LOL at the ending. Go vegan ... yeah good thing plants aren't living creatures just like animals. Oh I forgot, plants aren't "cute" so they don't count. And it always has to be cute animals in these blatant emotional appeal videos too ... would love to see a mocumentary video that uses the same tactics this video uses, but replacing cute baby chicks and cows with nasty looking things like crabs and bugs ... something tells me it would not be as effective despite using the same principle.

Well,by any objective definition humans are animals.
But yea, I like that people are more willing to accept the murder of plants, as we can't empathize with them.
Nobody seems to take the mass murder of sharks for example seriously either - every year 80-100 million sharks are killed (mostly for their fins), but I guess that's ok with most people, as when they hear "sharks" they think of the very few ones that may attack humans.
if evolution was real then animals would have evolved to not be so tasty. and if god didnt want us to eat meat, then it wouldnt be delicious.
seems pretty straight forward.

Bought a some cattle at auction and put them on my parents property. I fed apples all spring to a steer. It was just about as docile as a puppy. Then I called butcher. I fed it some hay and while it was distracted we shot him in the head, dropped him in less than a second. The butcher than cut him into sides and trucked the meat in to be cut up and ground up. The meat is delicious. I think those apples I fed him must have helped tenderize the meat. Lean, organic, literately from the farm and tasty. I respect livestock and enjoy it's fruit.
I know where meat comes from because I've harvest it. I've cut the heads of chickens, plucked them, and cooked them. I've helped ground up deer into venison burgers. Animals eat each other, people are animals too. Nature is brutal inhumane and full of pain and suffering. I always try to be as humane as possible. I take care of my livestock and keep them happy and when it's time to harvest I do it fast so they're dead before they could feel anything.
The problem is people today don't want to have anything to do with meat production. Because society has washed their hands of it, corporations have taken over and they care more about money than humane harvesting practices. If you get your meat from a local, family owned farm the animals will have been properly care fore and humanely treated.
It's not like I don't eat meat... because I do... and daily. I just think there are better ways to have it. -.-
wow, seeing some of the responses here are good examples why we deserve an apocalypse. Most humans are cruel and selfish.

I'm pretty sure they're all joking though. No one wants the animals to suffer and would've chosen a painless death/life if possible.
Most of the farming animals would have a far crueler death in the wild. Also, plants are the only kind of organism who doesnt feed or need to kill other organisms in order to survive. So, being a vegan, for me, is less moral.
