Google Wallet, Google Docs, Navigation w/ voice turn by turn, Google Voice (for search and anything else, so not like wp), Google Music (100% cloud and fully free storage for 20,000 songs), .... Plus on thing Google gives me that Apple and MS don't do the same or at all. I NEVER need to connect my phone to a computer. Google is 100% based on cloud/internet. I just log in and BAM all my stuff returns to my phone in minutes. I don't have to sync with any crappy computer software. AND its all FREE. No iCloud fees, no iTunes or whatever MS uses, nothing but my gmail login. iOS is very simple and straight forward, but you pay more money up front and in apps to equal Android's experience. WP7 is more streamlined as an OS, but it just doesn't offer the same overall experience.... for a cost or free. Android has the most variety in hardware and software, it has the latest hardware, it offers the most software for free, ... its just the best overall mobile package. OH and iOS and WP can't cusomize shit! I can change the entire way my phone looks without root and with root I can literally and/remove any functionality. |
Only thing you can't get on Windows Phone out of those is Google Wallet or any NFC variant...yet. Everything else is available (Even Google music app) or has a variant like WP voice search which also lets you search, dictate messages and give phone functional commands like dial this, open that...And just like Android this was available a year before Siri. And lets not forget MS Office baked in...I mean, why anyone would want to use Google docs when you have Office 360 and skydrive on the windows phone... Here is an interesting video showcasing my point:

As far as syncing, I am not sure what you're talking about. If its contacts, WP7 syncs that as well and not jsut for hotmail accounts. Bookamrks? Its coming with windows 8. Music? You can downlaod music as well as long as you upload it to skydrive. Documents? Yep, syncs with skydrive perfectly.
What else are you looking to sync between comuter and phone?
I use android on a tablet and had an android phone, and found that Android is great if you use google service. However, for a hotmail user, it didn't sync much. Windows phone will sync with gmail and will even let you register a gmail ID with the marketplace and xbox live with you assign it to a windows live ID...but google does this as well.
I am not saying WP is perfect as obviously it has aspects where it lags(customization, apps to name a few). But its a lot more competent and capable for most tasks than the 1.5% marketshare its getting. Basic things like keyboard typing and predictive text on windows phone for example is a lot better than iOS. This alone made me drop my iphone 4 that the company gave me and use the personal WP device as I type a lot on my phone...
