I highly doubt that individual character models will consist of polygons numbering in the millions next gen. Maybe over the duration of a full second at 30 fps lol, but certainly not over a million every single frame. That would mean you'd be going into "Avatar" territory having a total number of fully rendered polygons onscreen at any given time numbering in the billions... what kind of mass market, consumer-friendly hardware can support that?!?
