SuperAntiSpyware is an antispyware program. AVG is an antivirus program. They are actually different. Regardless, I've used them both for three years with no problems. I also don't run them at the same time. I find that they compliment eachother very well; what one catches, the other may miss. It's not really a huge problem for me, as they don't usually find much on here outside of a few tracking cookies, but it's still nice to have them as a precaution.
(SUPERAntiSpyware's virus definitions are updated several times a week,[1] and generally receives a build update once a month.[2] It is specifically designed to be compatible with other security applications, and therefore can be used even when those other applications are incompatible with anti-spyware products, such as Kaspersky. - From Wikipedia)
