Sorry about that.  I actually like GoW a lot.  My words were fueled by defense of a game I have absolutely no stake in and a hatred of this "No game is better than God of War" attitude that some GoW fans have.  I just saw a game that I thought was quite enjoyable and I wanted more people to be aware of it. 

-Over the top power levels and attacks (and spikey hair) like Dragonball Z

-Insanely powerful, planet crushing bosses like Bayonetta

-Revenge against Gods by a demigod like God of War

-Batshit insane with an uber powerful main character like God Hand

I didn't say that this game would blow any of the previously mentioned games away.  I just wanted people who enjoy games like that to give the demo of Asura's wrat a try.  The game may be a smash hit when it comes out (not likely, given my history of backing critically acclaimed games that sell terribly).  It may suck balls.  Hell, I don't know.  I played half a demo.  I just wanted people to try something new.  It's rare that Capcom goes that route, anyway.  We complain about too many Street Fighters, Resident Evils, Mega Mans, Dead Risings, and Devil May Cries and yet, we refuse to try new intellectual properties.  Sometimes, I just don't get it. 

For what it's worth, I'm glad you came along and set the record straight (Ironically, you appear to be a God of War fan, too!).  I suspect that this thread won't last another ten posts, anyway.

What is cheesy gameplay if I may ask?

I played the demo a few hours ago. It does look ''low budget'',but it's sooooooo much fun,and that's what it counts,for me at least.

The game has almost nothing to do with the games you have mentioned (with the exception of all of them being "action games", and have some bits of "story" shared); they are very different.

That the full game can be enjoyable (as a gaming experience....like Heavy Rain), who knows. But considering that this is a "fast paced action game", it is very disappointing.

After resi 6 announcement I should hate capcom. But after playing the demo of azuras wrath I can't help but praise the team behind it. Day 1 for me. Absolutely loved it. The classical music piece in episode 11 on demo is genius. Very very epic indeed. =) awesome impression.

I don't know I liked bayonetta and God Hand but I didn't like the demo at all. What small interest I had in this game has been crushed. I'll play DMC to get my action fix this year.
