Reputable news agency Bloomberg has thrown further behind weight rumours that Apple is readying iPad 3 for release this March.

Sources close to Apple apparently told Bloomberg that iPad 3 will ship in March, resplendent with quad-core processor and higher screen resolution.

Mass production is said to be already under way, with controversial Chinese manufacturer Foxconn running factories 24 hours a day to meet demand. Cringe.

The report stated that iPad 3 will support 4G wireless standard LTE, and have "more pixels on its screen than some high-definition televisions" - enough to make images "look like printed material".

The Bloomberg report backs up what we've already heard - that Apple will release iPad 3 in March and iPad 4 in October.

A resolution so high it will look like printed material? Current resolutions are good enough to look like that, even the iPad 2 too. It will only look like printed material when they calibrate the damn things properly.

Resolution higher then some high definition tv's? what does that mean.
1080p, 720p, the old 1024x768 plasma panels, or hd ready crt tubes with 600 lines.

And indeed what printed material, tabloid newspaper or high gloss luxury car brochures.

Me. They wont announce the ipad 3 and 4 at the same time, that would be retarded. They will announce the ipad 3 and dispel ipad 4 rumors to keep the ipad 3 selling. Then, when we least expect it they will shock us all with the announcement of the ipad 4 with 4g and WIRELESS CHARGING!!! 

High quality printed material is usually at about 300 dpi or just a little above. Right about the same ppi the iPad 3 is going to have when it releases  (somewhere in the 330ppi range). So yes, the iPad 3 is going to push more pixels on-screen than your 1080p television set.

I love comments about how Apple releases an iPad every few months. They release ONE A YEAR. That's actually a relatively long lifecycle for a product like that. Hell, the Motorola Xoom didn't even make it that long before it was replaced by the Xyboard.

I understand that many of you despise Apple for no reason other than people like their products but at least try to get your shit straight before saying something stupid on a message board.
