To be fair I would agree it being the worst arc, as it plainly just rehased the Arlong arc albiet to a larger scale and Hodi's motivations came out as shallow. This arc was used to introduce the new improved SH crew to the audience with the only saving grace was the flashback. Oda knew that people saw that arc quite unfavourably with the current arc "Punk Hazard" being his finest work in a while. In the end it could be my personal favorite.

Gintama episode 25 got me in tears, I can see why people are endeared to the series but unlike me, some people may not have the patience for it to get to the good stuff.

Top 3 Gintama episodes for me were: 25,28 and 34

The worst arc is the Davy Back arc :P I thought the beginning of the arc was boring but this flashback picked things up and the upcoming fights should be good. Also Arlong is really just one part of the entire Fishman story.

They had a not to extend it, we don't need it to be explain a million and one other ways. Also Fisherman Island has other "problems" which they could of emphasized on. One piece does get infinitely better after Hodi's defeat but I guess you would have to take my word for it. With Gintama it really doesn't seem to be going anyway. Is there suppose to be a over-arching story?

Currently on episode 35..

Ehh...but the story does put emphasis on the other problems. The major point of the flashback is to see Otohime's struggles to try to bring equality between Fishmen and humans, as well as Fisher Tiger's own struggles and how, despite his hate for humans, wishes for a better future in future generations. The Arlong arc was just "lol inferior humans" and seeing Arlong be an asshole for what he did to Nami and her town rather than any real racial conflict with the Fishmen.

The wider issue(s) I was talking about hasn't surfaced yet in the anime :P

Thanks for the overview on Gintama.

Ga Rei Zero....the biggest wtf ever. Such a quality anime but a lot of tragedy for the sake of making it tragic. sigh

The manga is even better! I translated into spanish with some friends.. and the content of the manga is enough to make  two or tree seasons of 26 episodes or more... and the ending was great!

Look for Ga-Rei Zero Image Character Collection... that's a great album...

I remember Patlabor 2 was good, I used to watch the anime and I saw 2 movies, sadly, I was like 13 and I cant remember much.

Well any anime that I watch is on old VHS from 80's and 90's/

So do you watch anything new?  Or did you just buy a bunch of VHS' once upon a time and just got to them now?

I just finished watching Fairy Tail. It was great. A lot better than what I expected. I think it's the best after One Piece.

1. One Piece
2. Fairy Tail
3. Naruto
4. Bleach

No. What I meant was that I watched it till the last episode released.
