Wow Sony fanboys are as commited to their company as Apple fanboys. Both would believe anything their company want them to believe and both think they care about them, ... funny stuff.

Microsoft, what did you do to have so hatefull people agains't you.

They created people like you.

haha good one...

I just don't understand how both parties try desperetelyto prove their company cares more about them than their business. That one guy who said Sony purposely went in third place, allowed third parties to release games on Xbox, takes losses so gamers don't pay much lolll... that's pure comedy, I love these forums.

I don't troll Sony everytime I get a chance, they're just another company who wants my money but didn't convinced me yet.

I'm not saying that Sony doesn't care more. Maybe they do. But Nintendo took me out to dinner, took me to a nice hotel, and made sweet love to me. Sony made me a home made birthday card.

In terms of "caring for people that purchase their stuff," I'd say it goes Sony=Nintendo>>>>>>>>>Microsoft.

I haven't purchased a Nintendo product in over a decade, but I like to think they still love me.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Outside Uncharted, God of War, and Gran Turismo, Sony has nothing on Nintendo. Outside Halo, Gears and Forza MS has nothing on Nintendo. I can apply your logic in the opposite direction easily.

Do you forget that Metroid Prime 3 has a meta score of 90/100, and that other games in that franchise have seen a metascore as high as 97/100. That's more then ANY Sony 1st party exclusive.

Do you forget that Mario Kart outsells both GT5 and Forza 3 combined x2!

Do you forget that XenoBlade has the highest score for a JRPG this gen?

No, Nintendo is much more then Mario, Zelda, and Smash Bros, those are just games you are interested in. Nintendo offers the most AAA quality titles, and with Nintendo we know the quality is consistantly high.

You critisize MS and Nintendo for having gaming droughts, but what does Sony offer for 2012 for the PS3? For 2011 Sony didn't even release a single 1st party game for the PSP, and where were you before 2009 when PS3 only had Resistance, Motorstorm, and Uncharted 1 (a good, but not great game)? Nintnedo had Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, Fire Emblem, and a whole assortment of 9/10 or greater titles. Microsoft too had Halo, Gears, Forza, PGR, Fable, and many timed exclusives.

Gaming is defined by more then 1 or two strong years of sales. 2007 and 2008 are largely regarded to be two of the greatest years in gaming, not only for this gen, but of all time, and guess what? It's because of Nintendo and MS, not Sony. Just because Sony is catching wind near the end of the PS3's life means nothing.

You've written a great wall and my time is slim as you've noticed because we've had our squabbles, discussions (call 'em what you will) in the past. The FACT of the matter is Nintendo and Sony both give a damn about investing in gaming more than Microsoft. If this wasn't true and Sony was so far out of touch with people who game they would've never hit the ground  running during the launch of the first Playstation. Microsoft could not mirror such accolades and they still haven't. The difference that exists between Sony and  Nintendo though my friend is that Nintendo gives you the same characters with new experiences  each gen, and Sony gives new experiences with new characters each gen (with the old characters coming up once in a while to say hello). There is no dependence, and nothing can prove this point any better than Sony launching their own version of Super Smash Bros t (oh I wish for the day) . The amount of high profile characters Sony put on the map is staggering.

For the record Sony had a gaming drought only for a year or year and a half at best (depending on your complaint) not two years. Sony has been pumping out classic titles which represent he PS3 since the console launched. Kameo was great, but it did not define the Xbox, Perfect Dark certainly didnt either, but it took three years for a certain game known as Halo 3 to resurface in 2008, which was a year both Microsoft and Sony shined. Microsoft got their one and only to launch and Sony got the first title to launch that would boost their console sales through the roof in MGS4 in june of 2008. The biggest problem now my friend is that the first party titles are drying up  (in a sea of third party titles) and the exclusives are starting to show their exhaust this is where the PS3 gained its true value as a console. As the years keep rolling on the Xbox 360 will keep turning into the living room cable box and the PS3 will keep getting more games. The question that everyone should be asking is the way the 360 is going out this gen, is this the way you want the 720's launch to begin? My question you would  be, do you like videogames? Thats the only question I pose if you truly believe Microsoft has done more for the gamer than Sony. Relying on third parties, investing in non-gaming, getting chummy with the UFC, acquiring skype and the various multimedia aspects doesnt prove it. All this just to prove that Xbox live is worth $60, and in the end losing focus of what the Xbox disc drive is supposed to be used for.

You dont have to like Sony exclusives. The point is who gives a damn more. Simple.

I agree, Sony does care a lot more then MS. MS only cares for the first couple years after launch, and then gives up However Nintendo offers a lot more then Sony, and you are very extreme on MS. If you count all exclusives, 3rd party too, the 360 is still a damn great console for gamers, and when you count there are more quality exclusives for 360 then PS3 or Wii. PS3 is catching up, but in the end it will only about tie 360. Does a console have to wait until near the end of it's life to show it's value?

All 3 home consoles are excellent, this isn't the days of SNES vs. Genesis, the balance of quality exclusives is pretty damn even with Nintendo getting the most 1st party, MS getting the most 3rd party, and Sony getting a mix of both.

P.S. Also there are strong rumors of a Sony Smash Bros exclusive for PS4. There is already a project with beta images of Kratos, but no screens, gameplay or anything like that. Just a project.

P.S.S. As for PS3 exclusives, MGS4 isn't first party, and the first proper quality PS3 First party game was Uncharted 2 in 2009. MS had PGR4, Forza 2, Halo 3 (all 2007, not 2008), and they largely funded and published (hence still exclusive) Mass Effect 1 and Gears of War in 2006. Also you wrote a wall of text, mine is pretty short.

PS3 was sold at a huge loss at launch. To put this in perspective for you, the first Blu-Ray player cost $1000. A few months later the PS3 retailed for $600.

The Vita is also sold at a loss. It's priced the same as the PSP at launch.

If they cared about $$$$ they wouldn't sell their consoles at a loss.

You payed $80 for those games.
That's Nintendos apology to you for making you pay $250 for the 3DS.

Plus they're all old games that no one would spend more than $1 on. I know I wouldn't consider it a gift. More like a half-assed apology.(Just my opinion. The value of those games doesn't add up to $80)

They only sold the Ps3 that cheap because they wanted to stay competitive. Do you think anyone would pay $1200 for a release console when its competitor is only $400 bucks? No ofcourse not.

They wanted to stay relevant.

They made a huge investment on the Ps3 going as far as selling it at a loss. Because they knew that it would eventually make money. Like where we are right now.

If they sold it for $1000 at launch. No one would buy it. Everyone would have flocked to Xbox 360 as a cheap alternative. PS would have a good chance of dying in the future. Hence no money.

If you were Sony. Which one would you do?

Invest on the PS brand?

Or stay stubborn and sell the console in $1000 at launch?

Caring about gamers has nothing to do with it.

Yay!!!

How about no?  I bought a 3DS at $250 because I thought it was worth $250.  I've bought many consoles from a $400 360 to a $500 PS3 and they later got price drops.  Hell, I got a Dreamcast ONE WEEK before the price dropped $100 lower.  I wasn't entitled to anything because I was willing to pay what they were selling it for.  As for the quality of these games--some of them suck.  Some of them are good.  Some of them are amazing....but only 20 of them came from the 3DS Ambassador Program.  Nintendo didn't "make me pay" for anything.
