Ignore my previous post then, sorry.

PSP is selling more than DS due to two reasons, IMO:

1.- Backwards compatibility: 3DS has it, VITA not (physical medium)
2.- The PSP-VITA cost difference is much higher than the DS-3DS difference.

It doesn't make much sense to buy a DS (you can play the complete catalog with a 3DS) but it makes sense to buy a PSP if you want to buy cheap 2nd hand UMDs

amazing run? 

The only console having amazing run is the one that has outsold it the last 3 years while not having a cheaper $199 version. The PS3 has come a long way to the top.

Bolded - Yes there are.  My HTC is basically an iPhone, the Samsung Tablet is basically an iPad and they have their own music/video and other stores.  MEAA countries could easily avoid buying Apple if they wanted to avoid US companies.

IMHO the sales ratios of PS3/360 in MEA can be explained by Brand awareness at time of launch and features of each console and it's offerings over time without having to bringing xenophobia into the equation.

360 is becoming REALLY seasonal...did M$ intend for this to happen?

Many will say the sales of PS2 were re-distributed amongst the 3 consoles but in 3 more years when 10 years is approaching we will see just how large the market has grown. Next gen will even crazier.

I anticpate next gen starting slow for 2 years than exploding

Uncharted 3 should end of the year with 3.3 million.

I want to see global software as well, interesting to see how that fell.
