This has to be the most interesting argument I've seen in a while. Desperate angle, but interesting nonetheless Boutrous.

Basically what you are saying is that 10% FF XIII-2 Japanese buyers in the second week made that perchase based on word of mouth.

As my new hubby acevil mentioned, first week was so bad compared to other FF first week sales that the % is slightly greater.

People are over reacting to Vita's sales -- Its second week is around what PSP did. Give it a few months and it'll still be selling decently. Vita's success should come from it generating profit, selling more than the PSP and having great games not based on its launch sales (besides people here called PS3 doomed when it started selling below expectations -- now its sold quite well. People called 3DS doomed as soon as sales tanked a month after it launched. Now look at it.

On another note PSP sales are amazing in Japan at the moment.

Well the third week will be the biggest tell, I wonder if the title without "the greatest hits" will reach 750k. Also leave me out of this! I am supposed to be neutral! :P

Andraising has 3DS at 510K! ahh not everyone can be bang one together, also 3DS over 4M in Japan.

Yeah I think week 3 will speak volume. FFXIII had a great week 3.

And I predict that it will reach 750k. There's a 850k shipment out there so they'll make sure it sells.

That was sales from Enterbran or enterbrain (don't remember the exact company).

Wow, the 3DS is doing great! MK7 and Mario 3D both above 1 million already. MH3G should be hitting 1 million very soon as well.

Is Just Dance Wii helping to boost up Wii sales, along with Kirby? Both games had really nice increases. A lot of Wii games have jumped up lately, Holiday boost?

PSP sells much better than Vita? Interesting especially given the fact that the PSP is still price pretty high in Japan. The Sony set price for the PSP is 16,800 yen, compared to the Vita (25,000 yen wifi and 30,000 yen 3g).

Still quite a surprising drop for the Vita. I saw a lack of Vita wifi models in stores on that first Sunday after release(day 2), but after that it's been very easy to find both versions of the Vita. I'm curious to see how Vita games are selling as well since none are in the top 20.
