About a year ago i rediscovered a show called Gargoyles. i consider it better than any anime i've seen, and i consider it above Batman the Animated Series.

I remember that show. It was pretty awesome, but don't you think it's targeted at children?

I just got into it recently because because here in the UK they never showed all the episodes (when i was a kid). and i wanted to see what happened, i wasnt expecting it to be that adult either...

but trust me the writng and the matureity of the script is above any other cartoon i've seen. its better than that awesome Batman show they had, you know the one with Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamil as the Joker. that might sound unbelieavble, but the lead actor in the show Keith David is amazing. he has a small role in Princess Mononke, but still you'lll know its him.

i'd recommend checking out the 5 part series opening again, definitly worth getting back into.

@Montana. I didn't call him an ass I said "People will think he's ACTING an ass". I also didn't say not to discuss things so trivial, I said at the start about him getting riled up with such silly things.
Discuss things like this in a calm, collected manner is absolutely fine. It also make you repect a person better too, but hey maybe he doesn't want respect. I'm not judging, i'm just trying to put my perspective in. I Enjoy this site and have for many years so i'm trying to stir shit.

Damn. I haven't thought about Gargoyles in years. I remember enjoying that show a long, long time ago.

BTW, anyone who thinks Family Guy and its lame non-sequiturs is funny should go read the webcomic Axe Cop. It has all the non-sequiturs you could possibly want and it's funny because it's actually written by a six year old. That's how easy it is to write shit like that but since Axe Cop is actually written by a child and openly embraces the craziness of a young mind, it works brilliantly.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Lol. " Jersey Shore is aimed squarely at the mentally retarded", that's so true. A show for the mentally retarded featuring.......the mentally retarded. It's been fun watching Beavis and Butthead shit on Jersey Shore and a few of those other horrible MTV shows. I'm with Rocketpig about the McFarlane shows too, pretty much predictable crap that he masses can grab hold of.

Man, Gargoyles, that's going back a few years. I used to love that show along with the Batman that was running around the same time, early to mid-90's as I remember.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I am eagerly anticipating the rest of Archer season 3.

Futurama would probably get my vote for "of all time" [so far]... though it, like Simpsons is more aimed at everybody than adults.

As for the Family Guy/American Dad thing, I enjoyed early Family Guy, and some of the recent American Dads... but I can see where rocketpig is coming from, they certainly aren't award worthy shows.

The severe lack of Venture Brother love in this thread is making me sad. :(

Family Guy sometimes hits with a joke, but most of it is unfunny drivel.  Watching it feels like someone is spraying me with me with raw sewage and my mouth is open hoping for a bite of half-digested carrot cake.

I couldn't get into Venture Brothers.  The 1st season of Metalocalypse was awesome.  What made it great was the effort that was put in to making the songs that went with the show.  I'm not a big fan of death metal but Brenden Small's mock-death metal songs were not only well done but mixed with the show perfectly.  The 2nd season wasn't great but some of the 3rd season returned to quality.

No one mentions Robot Chicken?  I love that show.  The new season is only so-so but the 1st and 2nd seasons were awesome.  It's stop-action animation but what other category would you put it in but animation.

-RP is prowling so I return like a good lapdog.
