You can make an argument for South Park, The Simpson, Futurama, maybe King of the Hill, or a few other shows but if you think a Seth McFarlane show is the pinnacle of adult animation, you're not an adult (or, at least, not a very intelligent one).

Oh, wait. A 15 year old started a thread on the best in adult animation. Fail.

That's a low blow, you might want to think twice about who is the immature one in this thread. If you have to bring age into your argument then you are obviously compensating for something.

Agreed. No reason to bring age here and you need to remember everybody's taste is different. Most of my firends (who are 25 and study informatics, doing phds, etc) think Family Guy is the funniest show ever. I disagree, but I respect their opinion. Some of them also watch Jersey Shore, which I absolutely hate, but I've never questioned their maturity or intelligence.

There is a difference between opinion and liking things that are complete shit.

King of the Hill, not really my bag but I can see how people like it. It's a well done show. Harry Potter, not really my thing but I see why people gush over it. It's incredibly well-written and engaging. Rowling deserves everything she has received from the series.

But Twilight? No, that is complete rubbish and isn't worth the paper it is printed on, much less $100 million blockbuster movies. Jersey Shore is aimed squarely at the mentally retarded. Family Guy is a weak imitation of South Park that relies on non sequiturs that could be written by a five year old and a Mad Lib booklet. And Family Guy is the best of the McFarlane shows.

So, you're entitled to an opinion. Everyone is entitled to one. But I'm not bound to respect you for it if your taste in mass media consists of nothing more than mindless trash that juveniles find engrossing because maybe if fucktards didn't buy into this crap, we'd see more money given to projects that deserve it, like Community, which is bordering on cancellation because most people don't know clever if it slapped them in the face and called their momma a whore. Instead, we get a world where The Big Bang Theory is one of the most watched comedies on television.

Community is my favourite comedy right now and I find its humour absolutely brilliant. But calling one's favourite show shit/retarded etc is insulting imho. Remember, people were getting banned for calling Wii fit shit or saying that it's not a game. I guess we're gonna have to agree to disagree on this.

Well, then consider me insulting. If nothing else, I'm honest. Whether people take that as an insult or not is their problem. I'm not going to tip-toe around someone if I think their opinions on things are wrong, terrible, or just dumb.

You still called the OP an idiot and indirectly insulted and belittled anybody who is around the age of 15, I'm 16 myself which is why I replied to point out your ignorance. It's not so much you stating your opinion, but it's all the petty insults that go with it. Saying that you think a particular TV show is bad is fine, calling anybody who remotely likes it a tasteless moron is NOT fine.

Think before you speak.

I'd love to see the part where I called the OP an idiot. I keep reading my posts but have yet to stumble across that little gem.

Maybe I was drunk when I typed it and left my super-secret decoder ring in the car so now I can't find this damning insult to his person.

Pull the stick out, people. I'm sorry if your self-worth is so tightly bound to the opinions cast on an internet forum but I'm going to keep calling things as I see them.

And American Dad is a shit show and I rightly question the intelligence of anyone who watches it.

I would have said you called the OP "not a very intelligent person", but that would have sounded silly, "idiot" better suited the tone of your post.

Drop the sarcasm, and the bad attitude. You're just digging around for an argument. Don't you have anything better to do with your time?

All good rocketpig if you don't like the shows. I didn't really care for The Simpsons that much recently  (actually watched a show a week ago on Krusty and it was pretty good). I would say that Roger on American Dad makes the show decent. Anyways, I'm not going to go into too much. I hope you have more favorable views towards Brendon Small (creator of Home Movies and Metalocalypse) than what you think of Seth Macfarlane.

I haven't seen Home Movies and one of my friends is really into Metalocalypse. It's not really my thing but I can see why people dig it. It's something I'll watch if I catch it but I don't go out of my way to follow it.

I haven't followed the Simpsons in years. To me, it's kind of like South Park nowadays. Ocassionally funny, pretty mediocre, often bad. But this thread was "of all time" so I have to factor in the great seasons both those series had in years past.

1. He's 15. That is not considered an adult in any civilized nation I know of.

2. Stop acting so god-damned self-righteous.

3. I will NEVER drop the sarcasm.

4. Take a look, it's in book. A Reading Rainboooooooooooww.
