I'd love to see the part where I called the OP an idiot. I keep reading my posts but have yet to stumble across that little gem.

Maybe I was drunk when I typed it and left my super-secret decoder ring in the car so now I can't find this damning insult to his person.

Pull the stick out, people. I'm sorry if your self-worth is so tightly bound to the opinions cast on an internet forum but I'm going to keep calling things as I see them.

And American Dad is a shit show and I rightly question the intelligence of anyone who watches it.

"if you think a Seth McFarlane show is the pinnacle of adult animation, you're not an adult (or, at least, not a very intelligent one)."

I would have said you called the OP "not a very intelligent person", but that would have sounded silly, "idiot" better suited the tone of your post.

Drop the sarcasm, and the bad attitude. You're just digging around for an argument. Don't you have anything better to do with your time?

1. He's 15. That is not considered an adult in any civilized nation I know of.

2. Stop acting so god-damned self-righteous.

3. I will NEVER drop the sarcasm.

4. Take a look, it's in book. A Reading Rainboooooooooooww.

Post Bar Mitzvah if he's Jewish :P

Family Guy just tanked further, faster, than many of the other animated shows, but at its height (which i would judge to be the first two or three seasons after it was renewed) it was worthy of its own reputation. Of course, i'm one of the few that generally dislikes the pre-cancellation seasons (oddly the show went from being too moral in the beginning to too amoral as it is currently), but there was something of great worth in its height

Currently American Dad is out ahead, for reasons i've already cited. Cleveland Show, however, is irredeemable.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Well, if we're factoring in religious methods of determining adulthood, I'm sure I can find some obscure religion that declares adulthood at the age of seven. That's not really the point. I liked shitty things at 15. Everybody likes shitty things at 15.

On the other hand, I was also smart enough to know that I didn't know shit at 15. Some of the stuff I liked at that age has held up over time (mid 80s REM, Twin Peaks, 2001: A Space Odyssey) but most of it has (thankfully) faded into obscurity.

Please drop it all of you.

Continue with the thread and those of you who can't agree for whatever, just leave it alone please before people start getting warned/banned.

As for my opinion, I use to like Family Guy but every time I watch any of the newer episodes they're just not that good. It has the occasional moment, but it's just too random. I assume any other Seth McFarlene show since he's about as diverse as Tyler Perry.

Same with the Simpson except they've been bad for 15 or so years.

I still like South Park, though I completely missed the last season and the same goes for Futurama (something else was recording when both of those came on). Those two would probably get my vote.

1. The term "Adult cartoon" shouldn't be taken so literally, it's just used to differentiate them from children's cartoons. Most, if not all of the cartoons listed so far are certificate 15 or under. Not that it gives the right to belittle someone for being 15 anyway, which was a pretty pathetic thing to do and you only did it to make yourself feel like a "big man" and make your opinion seem better than his.

2. You're right, I am intentionally being self-righteous. Why? Because I am in the position to. I'm putting myself above you to help you realise how rude and insulting you are being towards half of this people in this thread just because you don't like a God damn TV show.

I couldn't care less about what you think of Seth Macfarlane's shows, I'm not telling you not to voice your opinion either. Just stop with the petty insults and smug comments just because people like something you don't. You can tell by your first post that you entered this thread with the purpose to argue with someone or at least piss someone off.

EDIT: @ Twesterm

Alright, I'm done.

Okay, I'm done but not before pointing out that this statement is funnier than anything I've seen in a McFarlane show in years.

Oh, wait. A 15 year old started a thread on the best in adult animation. Fail.

If I honest Family Guy produces fantastic episodes from time to time (but it's mostly mediocre), The Cleveland Show is mostly a boring programme but can be good here and there. A lot of people I know agree that American Dad is better than the rest of Seth McFarlene's work and other adult cartoons. Overall Seth McFarlene is not brilliant producer but he hit it high with American Dad.

Rocketpig is just taking names in this thread. Damn.

To be fair, American Dad has improved a lot from the first season (when it was pretty much a poor man's Family Guy). It's far from the greatest adult cartoon, but it's actually a pretty good show now.

Jeez rocketpig, Take a chill pill, sit back and relax. I don't know why it's getting you so riled up. Yes their is crap that's on TV, cinema etc that caters to the typical tween (Twilight), but insulting people aint getting you anywhere. It makes people think your acting like an ass. There's things in the world that we can't change, and wasting your time on things we can't change gets us nowhere. There's enough shit to worry about with things we can change to even begin to get pissed with shit that we have no control over.

You claim Rocketpig is insulting others but then you call him an ass.

This post also has no point. If we followed that logic, we'd never argue or debate or even discuss anything because there would be no point. This is a videogame message board. We like to enjoy ourselves.

I think this is the part where we sit in a Peace Circle and sing Kumbaya to prevent anyone, anywhere from being insulted by anything we say or do.
