Good hopefully that team can make more games without him. Best of luck to him though.

Yea it's not like the head of the studio who also serves as the lead designer and writer leaving a 35 man team is a big deal. And it's not like the executive producer that worked with Team Ico didn't just leave to make web games.
I am sure it will be business as usual at the studio...

Sony failed Ueda, did you see how much they give a fuck about SCEJ and SCEE ? , only thing Sony cares about is SCEA
Oh yeah, that game is still a thing. Honestly, after the first half decade after SotC, I put it on my list of "ongoing projects," along with Kingdom Hearts 3 and Versus XIII.
God damn why is game development the new young and restless caliber drama fest?!

How do you come up with that conclusion?
For all we know, Ueda may be very difficult to work with, and he sure can't respect schedules.
best of luck to him in his future roles, whatever they may be

Maybe because SCEJ isn't just Ueda and there are other developers in SCEJ that are getting bad treatment, also how come SCEE always get their "REAL" project cancelled, because Sony want them to focus on creating shovelware so that they don't "Waste" their money on them (they cancelled Getaway and other projects because they want to focus their money on SCEA games) , as for SCEJ they cancelled a LOT of games (i think over 6 games) because they didn't get any help with funding, i didn't just come up with that conclusion
