the difference was almost invisible, and this game looks far better than uncharted 3 so far
Guys the CEll processor can be highly customized the handle graphics, even better so than the PS3's sub-par built in Graphics Card, in fact the PS3 was originally going to be shipped without a Graphics Card due to this potential, but Sony decided otherwise shortly before the release of the PS3. Here's a video of the Cell Processor running some basic graphics without any help from a GPU..
People really need to do their research before speaking as if they know whats going on.

A Sony-Toshiba-IBM partnership (STI) built the CELL processor for use in Sony's PlayStation 3, therefore, CELL is highly customized for gaming/graphics rendering which means superior processing power for gaming applications. The CELL is a heterogeneous multicore processor consisting of nine cores, one Power Processing Element (PPE) and eight Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs), as can be seen in Figure 5. With CELL's real-time broadband architecture, 128 concurrent transactions to memory per processor are possible.
In other words the Cell Processor was built from the ground up as a GPU/CPU hybrid. Doing this enables much more potential than an individual CPU and a GPU working together, and is also a cheaper alternative. Thus, the Sony/Toshiba Cell Processor is likely to be adopted by most - if not all companies in the future.
Basically the Cell is more powerful than the CPU and GPU in the Xbox 360 combined, its only downfall is that its architecture is completely different than any other system out there and it will take time for everyone to leave their comfort zone and embrace such an enormous change in computing.

When watching this video you really need to watch the official one on TheLastOfUs's YouTube page. To me it looks slightly smoother (framerate) and at the very beginning says "The following was captured straight from a PS3". Ofcourse the ps3 could just be playing a pre-made video but this message shows Sony is wanting us to think the real game will look just as great as this.
I also want to know a lot more on how we play. I think we will play as the girl Ellie because it would be a fresh experience and the other guy she's with would be hard for players to relate to because he is a mercy less killer. Also I expect it to be third person just because every other ND game is. I also expect it to have much more platforming, exploration, and hand to hand fighting than Uncharted because bullets are hard to find this time. For story they will be traveling across America similar to R3 but hopefully ND keeps this fresh too.
Also I would love if this takes place in the same world as Uncharted. I'm not sure though if I'd like the dude to be Drake. In the game his name is different (can't remember it) but Nathon could have just made up a new one. This could work very well but it would be hard to get rid of Chloe, Charlie, and Elena. If they stayed the game would feel too similar and not have that alone feel.
One final remark, Uncharted 3 had texture pop ins just like Skyrim so your logic doesn't really work...
UC3 had pop in textures yes, but no clip plane ;) (Clip Plane is basically how far you can see without objects completely disapearing.)

There is a otherworldly difference between those graphics and those of Uncharted 3, if they wanted to have games looking like Call of Duty 2 for the entire PS3 generation, then they would have left out of the graphics card, why do you think they finally included it? They HAD to.
"Basically the Cell is more powerful than the CPU and GPU in the Xbox 360 combined", that's funny I've heard many developers say differently.
As a programmer and 3d Artist, I call bullshit on that article. Please if you don't believe me, tweet to any PS3 exclusive developers, see if they could do what they're doing right now without the GPU.

actually it was originally designed for 2 cell processors, the second would have done the work of the GPU, but sony eventually decided to remove one cell and use a GPU instead.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I direct you to this video sir, Nuaghty Dogs OFFICIAL The Making of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves...
He says "At first we wanted to unload some of the pressure on the GPU by off loading some of the to work onto the cell processor...but we soon realized that the SPU was extremely good at that kind of rendering and we eventually ended up dong it entirely on the SPU do get much cleaner and much smoother graphics..."
Thank you, come again.

No, the difference was not almost "invisible". I don't want to turn this into an argument, but from what I saw in the trailer, and with what I experienced in the game during the scenes that were depicted in the trailer, I noticed quite a large difference in the textures and colors.
I won't speculate as to if this game will look better or worse than Uncharted 3. We've only seen a teaser trailer thus far, and things can change drastically by the time the final product is complete.

it will look so close to be this good, that you can hardly tell the difference.
just look at the uncharted 3 cutscenes, and its gameplay. you can hardly tell any graphical differences, heck, half the time you think you are still watching a cutescene, when its actually gameplay.
so i ensure you, this game will look that good....almost. .... 98% as good
