Positive - like most of the new features, Beacons, Cloud Saves are both excellent.

Voice Search through Bing is an great idea. I like that it searches cross platform, through Zune, Netflix, Hulu+. Best part of the update for me.

Netflix now has digital 5.1 sound, and you can skip to the next or previous episode. It seems like the picture has improved too. And much improved voice navigation.

And I like the more integrated voice search with Kinect.

Cons - Bing needs some refining - hard to see where it's going to play until you have chosen an episode and when you drill into a show, it shows you the last episodes first. And you can't tell if it's listening to you.

Netflix problems - Loss of Party(!), an annoying unhelpful auto start AND no more restart on Netflix. Also the fast forward and rewind were much better before. Plus we lose the title screen and it's harder to select the episode or season you want to watch.

Daily Motion ap is just a mess - it will play something when you are browsing, then when you find what you want to watch it puts a menu on top. Really disappointing.

Syfy - just like when the changed the name, it's a disappointment. I wanted to check out some of the shows I've hard about, but there are many clips and not full episodes.

Overall I think it's a good upgrade, but just have been disappointed by the non MS aps.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

the funny thing is even Blade have ads in frontpage(guess they forget it),and since Metro faster than NXE,you can leave the dashboard about 5seconds unless you playing 360 in 640x360,then maybe you can't see there is "play disc" or "Quickplay" option

Just got a 360 several  weeks ago.  Very impress with the new Kinect dashboard!  The voice search is not perfect but fun and convenient.  May be it was my accent, but Kinect could not understand I wanted to search for Brad Pitt and kept coming up with some strange interpretation.  On the other hand, it understood I wanted to search for Steven Spielberg on the first try.
