As a non-kinect user, I am pretty neutral on it.

Is it just me but I can't seem to find a way to just search arcade games specifically, which is rather annoying. Also I don't like the fact that I can't see all the party members from the dashboard when I hover over my friend's name, but have to select the party option first.

I know I'm nitpicking, but the older dashboard seemed less congested. I'll probably get used to it, but as of now I do prefer the older one.

It's easy. If you don't want to use Bing all you do is go over to the "Games" tab, click on "Game Marketplace" from there go 1 tab to the left and click on "Game Type" then simply click on "Arcade"

And you can sort by release date, top downloads, user rating and title.

Is Bing not working for anyone else as well? All I get is an endless busy icon. Maybe the system is overloaded?
It was working yesterday.
The whole new dashboard doesn't run all too well on my 360, lots of stuttering going on when icons slowly appear 1 by 1. Maybe it's on its last legs :( It's an old 20gb system.

Bing works perfectly fine for me...takes about 2 seconds for it to do the search thing and when you are typing it gives suggestions to make things easier.

And everything loads super fast now. It was really slow when I first got into the beta but now it's faster than it's ever been before, near instant in fact.

I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone would not like this new update more than the last one since it is better in literally every single way to the old one. I guess it's probably because I don't mind change where as for some people any sort of change from what they are used to completely messes with them and pisses them off (sometimes beyond reasoning)

It's working sometimes. The system must be busy I guess. I get the busy icon a lot.
Funny I was looking for Super 8, 2nd suggestion was "Super 8 c*m shot vol 1 (parental advisory)" Nope not that one.
Most of the video apps are all still 'coming soon' in Canada anyway, only Zune and Netflix for now.

Am I right the new game trailers are under games, game marketplace, extras, videos? I couldn't find any trailers for upcoming games, maybe they're just not there on the Canadian marketplace. Or maybe not in front when it's sorted by release date when the release date is tba? I didn't scroll through the horizontal list with 2994 items to look for it. Bing is not working again atm, it is giving suggestions, just not loading search results when I click on it. I was looking for more trailers for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. That game looks awesome.

The new interface takes some getting used to and things are hidden further away again. All that and you are still dropped in a list with 3000 items... At least group it by letter when you sort by title and group videos for the same game together. I guess they figured you'll just use Bing...

The PS3 doesnt have ads like these all over the place so I find Selnors "everything" to be quite true.

Just accept that a few people don't like it that much >_>..

Yeah but the PS3 isnt 21st century ready. Didnt you know that?

I couldnt care less if people do or dont ike the new dash. But using ads as a reason is ssd considering Android, Iphone and pretty muc everything else is way worse than XBD. XBD has  couple ads here and there. relevant ones to. UNlike my wifes Android phone. Now that is a reason to complain about adverts.

jeeze.... defensive much?!

you know people can have different opinions than yours, right!?

as for the bolded, What? dont make me laugh. what is that even supposed to mean. are you really talking about, those only console that every model comes with a hardrive, built in wifi. the only console that has Blu-ray, thoe only console that can properly do 1080p movies, with uncompressed sound, with every sound track supported imaginable. do you mean the only console that can do 3d 1080p movies, the console with the most video, picture, and sound formats supported. the console that has had an provided us with a free online service since launch, one with a mlb.tv, hulu+, nhl center ice, vudu, etc before xbox, the console with other movie and show apps, like netflix, not to mention a web browser to view anything on the internet.

how exactly is it not 21st century ready? why do yo have to be such a fanboy all the time?

ps: i have an Atrix 4g. and never, never ever do i have adds that pop up when i start my phone, use it, or navigate it. the only time i ever have adds, are when there are tiny little add on the side of the screen, when i play the FREE apps i downloaded.

Seroius????

It was a joke bro.

I couldnt care less what most Ps3 fans have to post about an Xbox product. Most coments against it here are from very well known PS3 fans here.

Have I ever said how poor the XMB is? Even though Ive thought it extremel poorly designed since 2006?

It amazes me how much PS3 fans just cant help but get involved in M$ subjects. Even if some have 360's. The best game in the world could release exclusivly on a fanboys rival console and yet all fanboys would dog it down. Its life. I'm just glad I dont really care, and me and my friends love the new dash. uge improvement to us. :)

Granted their are those 360 fans that travel the water to post crap in the Sony forums. But is heavily sided the other the other way. I'm a member of Gamersyde and Gamtrailrs also. VGC is often reffered to by other forum users there as Sony Chartz.

When that started is beyond me. But its bcoming more frequent.

It used to be a proud thing back in 08 to be part of VGC. That has seriously deteriated over time. The name we have here isnt what it once was among other forums.

I picked neutral but I really don't love it.

Played with it long and hard this morning......and then I tried the new Xbox 360 dash (Hey-O!).

Had absolutely no trouble finding content and the Bing Search worked flawlessly with my Kinect. I had to update a lot of stuff, though.

- Netflix is better than ever (didn't know that Netflix parties were removed, though. Maybe because Netflix isn't as profitable as it was and it's missing a lot of content it used to have). Everything is accessible via controller, voice, or gestures which is great. The rewind/fast forwad feature is still there (somebody said it was gone). Just wave at the TV first and then you can fastforward or rewind just by moving your hand left or right. Still awesome.

It's also got a new (or new to me) feature that lets you jump to the next episode of a show as the first episode is ending. Streaming is a lot better now, too. I used to use my PS3 exclusively for Netflix because of the slow loading time and the "Your connection speed has changed" messages. Now that that's gone, I'm back to being a 360 Netflix user.

-There was a media player update, too. Pretty cool. Some videos that wouldn't play before (saved to my portable HDD) now work on the 360.

-Kinect is super responsive, now. I did the reconfiguration test for hand recognition, facial recognition, and voice recognition. Whether using my hands or my voice, the result was satisfactory. I did have to use the controller a few times, though. I was trying to do everything that the dashboard offered and some of the things still don't support Kinect (like listening to music from an HDD).

-Just realized that I didn't see my Achievements.......

Couple of things I wish they would have added:
-The ability to gift games. The Wii can do it. Why can't the 360? Some Arcade games are great but none of my friends will buy them. If I could gift them, M$ would get my money and I'd have someone to play Splosion Man with. It's win/win.

-Auto-Off feature. I want to be able to set it for two hours so I can fire up Netflix and go to sleep with a movie playing. They've added a 1-Hour option which is cool (before, it was 6-hours or inactivity) before the console shut off. Two hours is the magic number for me!

-I criticize the PS3 for it but I'd welcome an option to do one big update of everything on the 360 instead of just doing each app one by one. In the end, it would save me some time. I spent a lot of time waiting for Netlix, ESPN, Last.FM, etc to update. Should have been able to set them all and walk away. My Droid can do multiple updates at once. Why can't my 360?

That's it. My final words. Can't wait for youtube and all of its content to be at the command of my voice. I give the new interface a B+

They just released IHeartRadio app and it's pretty awesome. You don't have to have an account to listen to radio stations, but for certain things like adding favorite radio stations you do. I haven't made an account yet(which is free), but I will very soon.

Yes!!  I listen to that app every day when I'm at work.  On the days that I'm home, I'll be using this.  Much better than Last.Fm for my music needs.
