Forums - Microsoft - Kitase: Xbox market “important for us”; can remake PS-era Final Fantasy games for the Xbox 360

When will game developers/publishers learn? Multi-platform is killing their potential. Do like every other industry and force it to be a one horse race. Does not matter whether its MS, Sony, or Nintendo, in the end it will be better for the consumer, the hardware guys and the devs.

With that said, I hope we get FFVII in some form no matter what.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

It is important for them to milk money out of players, that is understandable. However it doesn't mean they'll be making high quality games that is worth it.

What do you consider High Quality? FF games haven't at least for the past ten years been high quality.

"Well, XIII and XIII-2 are only two years apart so obviously we have to stick to the same platforms, otherwise we would have to give XIII-2 to the people who haven't played the previous work, he said."

WHAT?!? Why wouldnt you give the sequel to your consumers who played the previous work? Thats the worst statement ever lol.

Why aren't the PSone FF games on Live?

Carl, are you prepared to watch the rolling credits for the PS1 FF games and let me know exactly who the copyright of the game belongs to? That would be near the end of them. I'm not prepared to, but here:

If the copyright of the programming for the games belongs to Sony in any way, that's why. But if the scenario, characters, and content belong to Square, then they're free to build it from scratch in whatever engine they want and then publish it anywhere, just like Konami put Metal Gear Solid on the Gamecube.

If the programming belongs to Square-Enix too, then it's because Square are too lazy to scrounge up a functioning PS1 emulator for the 360.

so earning more money is bad for them? and which other industry? movies only for blu-ray? lol no?

bridgestone tires only for one car-manufacturer? lol no?

really most industries do the opposite of what you said haha

PS3 supports PSone games natively, while the 360 doesn't, so they'd have to port them.

It's only on PSN because Sony made a rather comprehensive PS1 emulator so that publishers don't really have to port anything.  This emulator is also why all PS3s can play PS1 games.

So they haven't been able to remake FFVII on PS3 because it would take 25 years, but now they can on 360?

Off Topic: I fail to see how such a skinny teen (although incredibly cut) is able to support such an enormous object on his shoulders whilst mantaining such a relaxed pose. Completely unrealistic, I can't see how he has such strong core stability muscles.
