Forums - Sales - IGN: Why Xbox 360 Still Leads the Market

Well no matter what happens the Wii has sold 4 times what the Gamecube sold and is still selling.

Wii has been a fantastic experiment that could go on to become Nintendo's greatest work.

Wii games simply sell more without the need for a huge, leading online console network.

Yep.

anyone know what is IGN doing?trolling fanboy?

They are? There was another link to a sony based argument saying they'd win 2011, now there is a 360 one. Wii isn't selling no where near as it used to which is obvious to us all and doesn't need explanation.

I think IGN is just exploring all arguments.

Wii the gamers won. More AAA games this gen then any before it. Except JRPG's they are dying, but there is enough WRPG for expansion of the RPG genre

agreed, but thats a bad artical. it's lacking what happened and key facts that makes the findings in said artical disputable.

Since when have IGN ever made articles that weren't pure flame bait, only to have another author write another article with the exact opposite point of view?

when i was on ign i never posted or never bothered to read an article lol. it was when came here that i noticed ign was BS so i've known for a yr.

All this talk about PS3 and 360, but no mention of the Wii?

Where would you crowbar Wii in? It has vastly different audience than the HD twins. Go look at the sales of MW3 if that hasn't become apparent to you.

because any mention of a market leader for the games market at this point ( which is presumably what the article is about "WHY THE 360 STILL LEADS THE MARKET" ) would have to refer to the wii

Wii 90 M   >>>>>   360 58.5 M

Yeah, its discussing the market leader. The HD market leader.

Just look at how many times the article says HD.

lol I have no ill will towards Nintendo. I myself owned only Nintendo consoles each gen until the Wii came along, until which I switched to 360.

But I still have respect for Nintendo, for the games I played in my youth, and I plan to buy the 3DS when the redesign comes (as I have bought every other Nintendo handheld.

I agree 100% with your entire edit. Both MS and Nintendo improved their market share at the expense of Sony.....making this by far my favourite gen :)
