Oh well, I raised the point not againts you to comment then. I know 360 is more popular in EMEAA/Americas combined, and well that just shows that the 360 is a successful system. |
all in all it was fun. i really just wanted to know if you agreed with my findings about what it was missing for instance:
1. using the aligned launch (which we already talked about) for an argument to say PS3 would be leading 360 isn't really a good argument, and also if it's possible then the PS3 would have out sold 360 the way the Wii did and an aligned launch still wouldn't have put PS3 over 360 sales in accordance/difference in how they launched so in short it's a moot point, and a hypothetical guess with no proof or analysis to back it up/support the claim.
2. the 360 was more then a success considering it was the first to sell 10m units ww so it more then held its own, and using a hypothetical guess PS3 would have only sold 18/20m units ww its 3rd yr. instead of 17m. i'm not sure what 360 sold leading up to it's 3rd yr. (22/25m) but 360 obviously would still be leading the PS3 in total units sold but the gap would only be half of what it is now. but thats all hypothetical.
so in the 7th gen there is no winner on any front cause its to close to call and ruffly the 6th gen total hardware adds up to 200m units ww while this gen. has ruffly passed that with this the 7th gen. only in its 5th/6th yr. with 203m units sold using vgc current data of total hardware sold for home consoles.
