PS3 Software sales for 2011 currently sit at 86.04 million. Xbox 360 Software sales currently sit at 83.97 million. Here is a list of major selling games coming for both consoles/Recently Released:

PS3:

Uncharted 3, 1.2m so far, 1 week. Should do 1.5-2 million more this year.

360:

Gears of War 3, 4.31m, 7 weeks - A million more or so.

Halo: Combat Evolved Aniversary, Nov 15, EMEAA/Americas - Should do a few million.

Multi:

Modern Warfare 3, Nov 8, EMEAA/ Americas - Will favour 360 by a few million this year 2.5m maybe.

Skyrim Nov 11, EMEAA/Americas- Will favour 360 not by as much though.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Nov 15, EMEAA/Americas- Won't favour a console too much this year but if any again it will favour 360.

Final Fantasy XIII-2, Dec 15,  Japan - As its only releasing in Japan it will be the only multi to sell better on PS3 but my a large margin 1.5 million or so.

So what do you think, Will PS3 be able to hold onto its Software lead this year?

I don't think it has a chance. the stuff you named could be close, but once you add in kinect adventures and other non bundled kinect software xbox wins.

Could go either way, but I would have to say that I expect 360 to win.

I think X360 SW will end up on top.

You forgot about Kinect.That will be the key factor in placing the 360 on top.

360 software on top like it should be the end of the year. Especially since, you know, Kinect will only bring in the extra sales.

The PS3 software sales missed 360 last year by a few millions so yeah PS3 will maintain its lead

isnt final fantasy XIII-2 on track to only sell half of what XIII sold first week in Japan.It might not even sell 1mil in Japan.

Uncharted 3 sales after next week will probably be matched and then exceeded by combined sales of gears 3 and forza 4.

I think 360 will comfortably win. Skyrim should easily sell at least 1mil more on the 360. MW3 should sell around 2mil more. Battlefield should add another 500k difference in favor of the 360 by the end of the year. Assassins Creed will add around 200k. Halo should add around 3mil.

Need for Speed Shift should favor the ps3 by around 200k but Saints Row 3 will likely give the 360 a bigger lead then that. Fifa should add another 300k for the ps3

Kinect software should outsell move software by a 5 to 1 ratio and defenitly add at least 4-5mil even if kinect isn't as popular this year.

Other software bundles will negate each other. As both sony and microsoft are bundling a lot of free software over the holidays.

None of the ps3 exclusives released earlier this year seem to be selling to well anymore. I'm expecting they will add 500k-1mil tops combined throughout the holidays excluding bundles.

360 of course.
